The gentleman we got this car from wanted a Camaro with virgin, rust free metal. In 1982 he went all the way to California to get one. This is that car! EXTERIOR: Really- no rust original metal. A cowl hood was added. He painted the car over 25 years ago and it looks like it was painted yesterday. That is because the metal was so clean to start with and he took extraordinary care of it. The paint has a... gloss finish. The body is arrow straight, gaps are right on. All the chrome and stainless trim is bright. Glass is clear, windows roll smoothly. Has replaced window fuzzy seals and new weatherstrips. Jambs are painted nice, bottoms of doors are clean. It has a great look- bright red, no vinyl top, cowl hood, rear spoiler and rally wheels. INTERIOR: It looks pretty close to new inside. The upholstery, headliner, door panels, carpet look new. Dash area is very clean. Gauges are clean, lenses are clear, dash lights work, interior light works, heater controls slide smooth. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: A completely rebuilt 350 motor was installed. The owner pampered and maintained this motor, it runs like new. Upgraded aluminum intake and carb. Everything is proper tidy and detailed. New alternator, fan and shroud are in place, wires & hoses are tidy. Gloss black engine bay. The owner says this car gets 15-16 mpg. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: I love it! The original spatter paint it left the factory with and it's in excellent shape. Almost every trunk out there has been resprayed from a can. The few originals I've seen didn't look so good, this one is near mint. Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy red paint. Has new weatherstrip. UNDERSIDE: Also no rust original metal. Bottom of inner 1/4s are clean, still has original drain plugs. Clean rockers, frame rails etc.Trans was upgraded with a rebuilt turbo 350 auto, has chrome pan. A set of headers flow to a nice sounding dual exhaust. Has gas shocks and a sway bar in back. Brakes have been redone, e-brake is hooked up.
