1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS SS Additional Info:
1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS SS (believed to be cloned) Convertible : For anyone interested in purchasing this Camaro please call me. I have spent many hours driving it as well as cleaning it up. I have thoughts on what remains to be done to make it amazing. It was built to be driven with its slightly modified LS1. The transmission is a 4L60E automatic that was purchased new by the current owner about 400 miles ago. I have driven in heavy Phoenix traffic when it was 90 degrees and it does not heat up. Acceleration is strong. The transmission shifts properly, the exhaust has a very pronounced rumble. The build currently has about 1280 miles on it.
Body: The paint appears to be older. The shine is excellent, but there are the beginnings of cracking occurring in several spots. I have documented each of these flaws on the below Google album. There is very small evidence of rust bubbles at the typical spot on the lower front passenger side fender at the trim line. The only other spot of rust I found was at the bottom inside of the rear passenger quarter. The outside of this panel does not show any. The rear quarters look to be original. The spot is about 2 1/2 inch. The floor pans are original and solid as is the trunk. The sub frame bushings are very dry. The headlights are now electric, and they work amazing.
Interior: The interior was completely re done using white leather. Carpet is new. Audio system is high end, but with the top down and the motor winding up you will not need it. There is a new factory style GM tilt column as well as rosewood wheel. The top is manual. It is easy to put up or down. There are two very small pin holes in it, but it shows very nicely. The gauges all work properly. AC system is complete but is blowing hot currently.
Engine / Transmission / Rear End: The LS1 has FI tech 500 Horse Intake. The rear end is a 10 bolt posi.
Suspension: The suspension is mostly stock utilizing multi leaf rear springs. Coil front. If there was a part of this car that needs updating it;s the suspension with the exception of the brakes. The braking system is a complete Bear Brake system including the Baer master cylinder. Brakes work amazing.
