Beautiful Color combination - Original 283ci changed to a Period Correct '59 283ci V8 - 4 Speed with Hurst Shifter - Fully Restored - (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) 1959 Chevrolet Corvette... Convertible - One of 1,024 finished in Frost Blue Garage Kept Motors is pleased to present this beautifully restored 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible for consideration. Our client acquired the car in 2005 from the second owner, Carlton W. Galer, who owned the car since April 5, 1968. They completed a full restoration in 2006 and it is one of the nicest restored first generation Corvettes we've ever seen. This client also restored the 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top on our website. His work is impeccable, as you will see from the photo gallery. The car came from the factory in this color combination. Frost Blue over a red interior with a white soft top. Only 1,024 cars were finished in Frost Blue. The car was restored to factory original specifications, but even better than when it left the St. Louis plant. The original paint can be found inside the center console. It was untouched with the original sticker still in tact to prove originality. The car came with a 283ci/270hp engine; however, the original block had issues and was replaced by a period correct 1959 Corvette block. It was professionally rebuilt by John Benson Jr. Power is transferred through a 4-speed manual gearbox with a Hurst shifter and front disc brakes. Chrome 5-spoke Cragar wheels are wrapped in new rubber. The car starts, runs, and drives exceptionally well and garnishes attention/awards wherever driven. We love the color combination on this Corvette. The paint is as close to perfection as you can get. It is a stunning vehicle and offered at a very reasonable price point, considering Hagerty values No. 2 cars over $100k. All the hard work has been done. Just needs a new garage to call home. It even comes with the original title from the second owners dated back to 1968. You are guaranteed to enjoy your time in this 1959.
