1972 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
I'm selling my 1972 Chevy C10 short bed fleetside pickup. I spent three years building this truck and the restoration was finished in 2015. It is a frame-off restoration, but it's not just a show truck and it was built to drive. Although it has won many awards and has been featured in two publications. Everything on this truck is either brand new or restored. It has a built 350 all roller small block, a 700r4 transmission with a shift kit and 2400 stall converter, and a 12 bolt chevy rear end with positraction and 3:73 gears.
The following is a detailed list of what this truck has:
House of Kolor Sunset Pearl paint job. When the sun is out the pearl really pops as you can see from the photos but if it’s cloudy or nighttime it’s more subdued. The front fenders, hood, and core support are from a 68 chevy truck. The side marker lights, fuel filler on the cab, and bed stake holes were shaved. The inside of the bed was professionally sprayed with a bed liner.
Custom gray tweed interior with orange stitching with 2004 Chevy truck seats, custom door panels, dash pad, headliner, and Fesler kick panels. 8 speaker Bluetooth Pioneer stereo system consisting of 2 tweeters, 4 mids, and 2 10” subs behind the seat with two amps. Lokar billet aluminum window cranks and door handles. Lokar gas pedal, brake pedal, high beam switch cover, and parking brake pedal. The entire cab has Dynamat sound deadening. The carpet is gray loop from ACC. The gauges are Dakota Digital VHX series gauges with a brand new chrome gauge bezel. Brand new air condition controls.
350 small block built with Dart Sportsman II cast iron heads, Crane Roller Rockers, Comp Cams hydraulic roller Xtreme 282 cam with roller lifters, Edelbrock RPM air gap intake, Holley Ultra XP 750 carb, Edelbrock mechanical fuel pump, MSD Hei ignition, MSD plug wires, Hedman headers, Billet Specialties billet air cleaner, valve covers, and wire looms powder coated black, Chevrolet Performance serpentine belt drive kit with air conditioning and 140 amp alternator, XS battery, and a Dewitt’s aluminum radiator with twin Spal electric fans. The engine puts out approx. 400 hp. It also has a brand new American Autowire wiring harness. The exhaust is a 2.5" dual exhaust with flowmaster 40 series style mufflers.
700r4 transmission with a shift kit and 2400 stall converter professionally built and installed. The truck will scratch the tires when shifting from 1st to 2nd if you get on it, but driving normally it won't snap your neck off.
4 wheel disc brakes, CPP power brake booster and master cylinder, Flaming River chrome tilt steering column, Brand new power steering box, Vintage Air air conditioning with heater and defroster. The air conditioning blows ice cold.
Brand new windshield, side windows, vent window assemblies, and rear window from Brother’s Trucks. All glass was installed by McSparren Auto Glass in Stockton. Brand new window regulators and door latches from LMC Truck. Brand new weather stripping on the entire truck from Soffseal.
Front suspension has CPP tubular upper and lower control arms, CPP sway bar, dropped spindles, lowered coil springs, and Ridetech shocks. Rear suspension has a custom z’d frame from the cab back with a C-notch, parallel four link with coilover shocks and a raised bed floor. The 12 bolt rear end was rebuilt with 3:73 gears and a true trac posi. Also it has a 20 gallon gas tank under the bed. The rear suspension, frame work, rear end rebuild, raised bed floor, and gas tank were professionally done.
The wheels are Boss Motorsports 338s with anthracite centers and polished dishes. The front wheels are 20x8.5 with Sumitomo 245 40 20 tires and the rear wheels are 20x10 with Sumitomo 275 35 20 (This tire combo makes the front and rear exactly the same height).
Other miscellaneous new parts are headlights, front parking light/turn signal lenses, tail light lenses, reverse light lenses, hood hinges, tail gate arms and latches, chrome front and rear bumpers, front grill moldings, side mirrors, exterior door handles and locks (door locks, ignition, and glove box all use only one key), all knobs and switches on the dash, air conditioning and defrost vents, rear view mirror and mount, sunvisor mounts, wiper arms, wiper motor, Lokar linkage connecting the column to the transmission, Lokar parking brake cable, Billet Specialties steering wheel, body bushings, brand new front wheel wells powder coated black, and pretty much every nut and bolt is new.
I'm sure I've missed a few things, but again everything on this truck was brand new when I built it. It has approx. 3500 miles on it since it was finished. I have driven it to shows all over northern California even as far as Bakersfield. It will not overheat in 100 degree weather in stop and go traffic, it runs at 2000 rpms going 70 mph on the freeway, there are no oil leaks, and it'll light the tires up off the line if you get on it. When it's not being driven it is parked in my garage and covered with a California Car Cover. I am including the cover with the truck.
I have reduced my asking price to $42,500 or best offer. All reasonable offers will be considered, but it's important to mention that if you had a hot rod shop build this truck it would cost you well over 60k. I have over 35k just in parts. So keep that in mind.
I don't need any help with sales or marketing. Also I'm not interested in any trades. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I will respond promptly.
Buyer is responsible for any shipping fees.
Thank you.
