Documented with two Build Sheets this Cortez Silver SS 396 Convertible 4 speed car is an iconic example of the Muscle Car Era.Itis equiped with it's original CTX engine dated 11-7-1969-M20 WB transmission dated 10-30-1969 and CCF-G80 3:31 Posi Trak rear end dated 10-27-1969.This is considered an early car with a completion date of 11-A-1969.This car is also equipped with correct carb 7040205-L34 4 spd.and 111999 distributor.This car retains it's TCS System( transmission control spark )and all four gray spiral shocks.All other options can be seen on Build Sheet.This car is a SURVIVOR car that has had a new Top,Interior,and sheet metal installed.Runs and drives nicely.Production numbers tell us there were 7,522 1970 Chevelle Convertibles produced 381 being six cly cars leaving 7,141 V8 Cars.Of the 7,141 V8 car a reported 1,320 received the SS Package the bulk of which were a reported 1,088 were L-34 cars which makes L-78,LS5, and LS6 cars almost impossible to find with documentation.If It's not documented it's probably not real.Serious call John 314-644-6335 Right to end auction.Vehicle sold AS-IS All inspections and verification of description prior to purchase.Shipping buyers responsibility-will assist.
