The Chevy Nova was a completely fresh design by general motors to complete with the growing "compact" car market of the early 60's. The car was built with a uni-body design to compete directly with Ford's Falcon, AMC Rambler, and Studebakers Lark. The Nova, also known as the Chevy II, due to its size and lightweight, was soon targeted for performance packages. The Super Sport package came available in 1963, and soon performance versions of Chevy's big and small block V8's made... regular appearances under the hood. To this day, The Chevy Nova is a revered muscle car. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1971 Chevrolet Nova for consideration. The car is powered by professionally rebuilt 427 big block producing approximately 400hp, Muncie 4 speed manual transmission and 410 posi rear end. Highlights include: SS trim, bucket seats, Hurst shifter, Grant custom steering wheel, column mounted tach, auxiliary gauges, power steering, power brakes, headers, Moroso aluminum valve covers, braided hoses, aluminum radiator, MSD ignition, rear traction bars, dual exhaust, front disc brakes, etc. Although not without a couple bumps and bruises, this Nova presents its self in very respectable condition throughout, and mechanically is a beast and a complete blast to drive. Big performance in a small package offered here whether in light to light street or bracket racing fun.
