This is a rare factory “Y code” 454 car that has 81,000 original miles on it, and has only had 2 owners since new. The car is the factory Bronze Metallic with a Black interior with swivel buckets and a Black vinyl top. I am not an expert on these cars by any means, but you rarely see a ’74 factory 454 Monte with swivel buckets these days. Forget the fact that it is a 2 owner 81K car that is pretty much a survivor. The car is very factory, including what I assume to be factory spiral type shocks / factory dual exhaust / WORKING factory air-conditioning / etc.. This car runs and drives great and in true 70’s fashion just floats down the road. Car has an automatic transmission with the factory console “ratchet” shifter. Swivel buckets work great. Under the hood everything is still as it was built, with the only obvious change being newer spark plug wires. Car has power steering and power front disc brakes. This car also has the optional POSI-TRAC rearend. I do see some areas where there has been some paint work, but most of the car is factory paint. I don’t see any putty or filler in the car at all. Underside has the typical surface rust, but floorpans / trunk frame are all solid. Bottoms of the doors have surface rust, but no holes or rust through. If you want a collector car that is a bit different, but all Chevy, this is it!! Factory owner’s manual is included with the car. There are some rust areas forming down low on the car, they are shown in the pictures. You can also see where the plastic rear filler panel above the rear bumper has been cracked and duct taped over…The filler panel between that and the bumper is also missing. The dash has one crack, but is otherwise very nice. Front seats need recovered, but are usable as-is. Battery is brand new, as are the tires.
