Up for auction is a bad ass 1951 Chevy Restomod 1/2 ton short bed pickup. Don't let the Patina fool you, here is nothing old about this truck! It gets TONS of attention everywhere it goes. It turns every head it passes and will be a hit at any cruise in or show. This truck is a blast to drive and is fast, eliable, nd good on gas! It has the look everyone is after and has had all the right things done to make it runs and drive like a modern vehicle. It has power steering, ower brakes, isc brakes, C, uel injection, nbsp;overdrive, ilt, odern gauges, nd more.
Someone is really going to enjoy this truck!
The original straight axle was ditched for a more modern style Camaro Subframe. The rear end was also upgraded to a later model GM 10 bolt. The truck has new drop spindles in front and lowered leafs in the rear.
The truck was stripped to bare metal inside and out. The dents and dings were left to ad to the Patina. There is no body filler in this truck. You can see what you are getting with this one, ot hiding anything under any filler. After the truck was dissembled and stripped it was shot with DuPont base coat. The patina was professionally done over the base. Then the exterior was finished in matte clear, hile the fire wall, nterior, nd wheels were done in gloss. The finish on the truck is awesome and looks better in person!
Inside you will fine everything is brand new! The truck has new carpet, eadliner, isor, eat cover, oor handles, indow cranks, auges, tc. The steering wheel is a new 59-60 Impala wheel that was painted to match the interior. A Lokar shifter was installed. The seat and door panels were professionally recovered in white vinyl with houndstooth cloth. The dash, ambs, nd all inside metal was shot with base clear which really give a nice contrast to the exterior. It has working headlights, aillights, linkers, uel gauge, emp gauge, peedo, olt gauge, nd oil pressure gauge.
A modern style electric wiper setup was installed and works great. It has a new vintage air AC and heat setup that blows ice cold. Every piece of glass was replaced along with all the all the seals. The door weatherstripping was also replaced. All the exterior chrome is new, ncluding bumper, oor handles, ide emblems, ood emblem, aillights, as cap, iper bezels, iper arms, tc.
The truck rolls on staggered brand new Coker Classic radial wide white walls. The wheel vintique smoothies were shot to match and new OG style caps and ribbed trim rings were added.
The truck is powered by a Fuel Injected 2002 5.3 LS which runs great! The trans is a 4l60e electronic shift 4 speed overdrive which shifts smooth and firm. The truck has a new wiring harness. All new 3" dual exhaust sounds awesome.
There have been over 1000 trouble free miles on the truck since majority of the work was completed. While we do build these trucks, e did not build this one. We just did the paint, nterior, nd made a few other minor changes, hich have under 50 miles since the cosmetic work was completed.
This truck is fast, un, nd reliable. It is ready to hop in, ump the key, nd go! All the work has been done and nothing overlooked.
