1988 Chevy Corvette -Z52 Package-245HP Tune Port Injected 350ci V84-speed 700R4 Automatic Transmission
3 previous owners, no accidents, clean California title, and current California registration.
This is a very nice, nearly all original, rust free, California, C4 Corvette. The only modifications are the interior wood trim, an aftermarket CD Changer, and subtle chrome exhaust tips on the original mufflers. All the original smog equipment is still intact.
This Corvette is loaded with the Z52 Sport Handling Package, 3.07:1 rear axle ratio, Leather Sport Seats, and Delco/Bose Stereo. The color is 74U: dark red metallic.
This Corvette runs extremely well. The engine is strong, the transmission shifts perfectly and the car drives straight down the road.
The interior is extremely nice with minor wear to the drivers seat. There are no odd odors and it appears to never have been smoked in.
There is a small area on the front bumper that has spidered (see picture), the paint on the top of the right mirror has some fade, and the headliner sags when it is cold out. Therear output seal on the transmission weeps slightly when sitting. The stereo works but there is loud static when you turn it on and adjust the sound level. The air conditioning has been switched over to R134 and was just recharged. There is some minor damage to the right side of the lower black plastic air dam. The right rear wheel has minor curb rash around most of the lip. The left front wheel has about an inch of curb rash on the lip. The electric recline feature of the driver's seat works intermittently. The switches on the right side of each seat do not seem to activate anything, not sure why. The seals on the top of each door that rubs against the glass are weathered.The Michelin Pilot tires have lots of tread but are showing signs of age.
This is an extremely nice Corvette, yet we have tried to list all of the minor issues with this car. Please keep in mind that it is 31 years old. It is apparent that the prior owners took exceptional care of it. The car does not show signs of abuse. However, it does show normal signs of wear and tear that you would expect of a Corvette of this era, age and miles.
The mileage currently stands at 57,938, but could this change slightly due to test drives.
