1978 Chevy K10 Silverado Short Wide Box Four Wheel Drive Pick Up Truck, pretty desirable truck but first for the bad. Although it’s a Texas Truck It spent some of its life in Colorado and then came back to Texas in 2003 but the damage was done. It has rusted out Rockers Cab Corners rear of 1/4 Panels and Fenders. Surprisingly the Floors and Bed are very dry and solid. The Frame and suspension are nice and dry as well. The Hood Tailgate Roof ect are all fine, basically just the lower body panels. For the good it runs and drives. I just got it and a man and his young daughter drove it to me more then an hour and a half away. It is currently licensed and inspected. The motor seems to run good and automatic transmission seems to work well. The 4WD is complete intact and works. The brakes work but pedal is low and light is on. Under Hood is very intact with original air cleaner with dated 1978 350 CI stickers still on it. Even the Factory jack is still in place as well as the heat riser tube from Manifold to air cleaner, looks very untouched. Has Power Steering and Power Brakes, Cruise Control, AC but although the belt is still on the line is disconnected from compressor. Inside it has Tilt Column and it’s Interior is totally complete with worn out seat cover, cracked dash ect that you would expect from an old original truck. Windows go up and down Trim tag and door decal still in place and even the original warranty book is still in the glove box. Stock rims and hub caps with great front tires but rears have less tread. Hopefully pictures will help with the rest of description. Has clean open title. I think if you took it easy you could fly in and drive it home but I personally don’t have much time in it. I’m selling it at no reserve so it may go cheap. Cool truck to maybe drive now and restore later. Odometer reads 68000 but is probably 168000 but who knows. There is rust and pitting in floor of bed as well as a strip of aluminum about 3 inches wide at back that was used as repair. Sorry I hadn't noticed it until today.
