1990 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Additional Info:

1990 ck/1500 4x4 6.2L Detroit DieselHello this truck was a 5.7L V8 gasser, I converted it to a Military 6.2 diesel. The engine was pulled from a Military running Blazer. The blazer only had 22,000 miles. I put on 12,000 miles on it for a total of 135,000. The engine runs like a champ ! It gets 20 to 22 mpg, 18 with the AC on. YES it has AC ! That was a huge or deal to find all the proper brackets and pulleys to convert it to serpentine belt. I spent over 6 months looking to find them and paid over $1000 just for those items. They are extremely rare due to cash for clunkers. NEW parts installed are as follows,
  • New aluminum radiator HD $600
  • Shocks $150
  • Rotors drums and brakes $200
  • Rebuilt rear end $350
  • New wheel bearings and seals $200
  • New Starter $175
  • New drive shaft joints $150
  • New power steering pump $75
  • New steering control arm $150
  • Tires are about 75%
  • New Water pump
  • New glow plugs and New wiring for glow plugs and relay. Switch on the inside of cab..10 seconds starts right up at 27 degrees outside.
  • Frame was sand blasted and under coated.
  • Switched from a standard 6.5 bed to a Stepside bed fiberglass fenders about 75% completed body work on bed $1000.
  • New exhaust with 4" muffler with flapper..Yes she sounds awesome. Hole was not cut out of fender should u decide to sell bed.
  • The cab was started to do body work, then stopped and was considering to replace due to rust issues..
  • AC system, new dryer, new lines evaporator coil and new Ac pump converted to 134.
  • Many parts come with the truck to much to list.
  • THE BAD, has a small oil leak on the passenger side rear valve cover and seeped down to the clutch and messed up the clutch. So it will need possibly a clutch and throw out bearing.. Transmission is fine.. Replaced the clutch res and slave cylinder.. Currently would need to be hauled of.
  • I have spent countless hours rebuilding this truck, I just don't have the time to continue. I was toying with the idea of parting it out, know full well this truck could get parted out and make $5000 easily ! Motor with ac would fetch $3500 Truck bed $1000. If u 6.2 nut like me, u already know..lol. I'm listing NO reserve. Please feel free to ask questions. Please remember this is not a new truck and will need work. No delivery, No warranty. Buyer must make non refundable deposit and payment in full prior to setting up shipping. Will accept balance upon pickup, cash or paypal.
