This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro represents everything that's good about Chevy's version of the first generation F-body. With a strong 327, a 4-speed manual, and a no-nonsense look, it's a blast to drive and represents a lot of fun at a great price. First generation Camaros have become ever more difficult to come by and those that have survived are often so consumed with rust or collision damage that their restoration represents a near return to the... starting line anyway. This '67 represents that very first class of the model and is ready, willing and able to put rubber to asphalt just as soon as you get it home. Black on this car always looks great and emphasizes the muscular lines of the bodywork. Like most early Camaros were at the time, this one goes without stripes or extra badges and we like the clean look. The finish is a few years old and shows some signs of use, but you could probably buff it up a bit to bring out the shine and make it looks its best. Many Camaro fans appreciate the early F-body's simpler look and distinct lack of add-on trim, and this is a great example of why. It just looks right. Climb inside and you'll see there's plenty to like with the black vinyl interior. Both the front buckets and rear bench seat sport covers that show very little wear as they hover over an expanse of fresh black carpeting. Situated between the buckets is a center console that sits nice and level on the transmission tunnel and sports a clean surface as it positions the Hurst 4-speed shifter within easy reach to get down to business. On both sides the door panels are surrounded by shiny steel and don't show much wear from shifting elbows. You'll find the factory gauges still in place just in front of the original steering wheel and they're joined by a trio of white faced Equus counterparts cleanly installed in front of the shifter, while just above, a retro style AM/FM stereo stands ready to handle audio duties. The trunk area appears straight and solid and is protected from the elements by a fresh-looking rubber seal just below the deck lid. Below the hood, the engine compartment is nicely detailed and at its center sits a period correct 327 V8. It's wearing a matte-black badged air cleaner over its Holley 4-barrel carb and carrying a pair of chrome valve covers to either side of an Edelbrock EPS dual plane intake manifold that teams with the double hump heads added to maximize output. Up front, a well-proportioned aluminum radiator sits in place to keep temperatures down. The powerplant fires up promptly, pulls strong and sounds out a great exhaust note with just a slight tap on the gas as it pairs with a 4-speed manual transmission that puts maximum control in the hands of the driver. A set of 15" stock Chevy wheels with painted black surfaces surrounding chrome center caps add a distinctive element and carry BF Goodrich T/A radial tires.
