There's no doubt that virtually any 1957 Chevy you come across is going to be something special, but with its combination of great looks, and strong, healthy drivetrain, this 1957 Chevrolet 210 Wagon offers the substantial added benefit of being ready to hit the boulevard and turn heads just as soon as you get it home. The Chevy 210 is so much a part of automobile lore that it would seem it would have stuck around for... a long time, but in reality, the model was only available for a scant 5 years and was discontinued the year this wagon came out. Like most of its other '57 classmates, the 210 carried an ever more ornate display of chrome as the '50s went on and you'll see that metallic finery is in very nice form here. The two-tone adobe beige and white color scheme complements this Chevy's form nicely and, as you step around to the front, you can see how the tasteful colors of the paint combine with its extensive chrome ornamentation to give this classic a great presence. The dominant front grille blends into a front bumper that, like its counterpart in back, is nearly new and looks the part. Focus your gaze a little higher and you'll notice those rocket shaped emblems on the hood that seem to optimistically point the way forward. The long stretches of trim running the lengths of its sides are nice and straight and sit flush to the body, the badging is intact and well preserved and the glass on all four sides is nice and clear. The beige interior is nicely configured and features a combination of cloth and vinyl carrying some great color accents on its front and rear bench seats. Owing to this wagon's ample proportions, there's a ton of room inside, so you and your passengers will cruise in spacious comfort - those in back might not even reach the front seat with their legs fully extended. Up front, the dash area has been restored to an impressive condition, with a stretch of clean chrome trim that runs the width of the cabin, and sports both an era-appropriate AM/FM radio and a seriously cool analog clock to the right of its instrument cluster. The cluster itself looks sharp in its own right, with a set of readily readable gauges that are assisted with a duo of aftermarket counterparts sitting just below. The air conditioning system is in good form - blowing with conviction to keep you and your passengers comfortable on your journeys. Lift the tailgate in back to take a look inside, and you'll see a very clean rear cargo area, lined with plush carpeting. A very strong L71 427ci/435HP V8 from a 1967 Corvette sits under the hood, fully freshened and armed with a pair of Edelbrock heads and intake manifold, and a Holley 4-barrel carb. The big block sounds great as it exhales out into a pair of Headman headers, and is mated with a 4-speed automatic transmission that's shifting securely. Armed with power steering and power brakes - discs in front - this is an easy driving classic, a car that you'll enjoy taking out on the road every bit as much as you'll enjoy admiring in your garage. A set of American Racing wheels that measure 17" in front and 20" in back give this classic Chevy Wagon a great, inclined stance.
