1974 CHEVROLET K5 BLAZER 4X4 WITH A FULL REMOVABLETOP AND A 5.3LS SWAP!!!!!
Up for sale is this amazing 74 K5 Blazer!! About six months ago this K5 was all stock !! This rig had never been altered or modified. Original California vehicle that made it's way up to the Pacific Northwest some time ago. With the recent boom in value on the 1969 thru 1972 K5 Blazers the 73-75 K5's are rising in value as well. The last of the full top K5 blazers!! I have owned dozens of first generation K5's and it is harder to find a decent solid 73 thru 75 K5 in my opinion. Well enough of that stuff on to the good stuff!! The original 350 was ditched in favor of a 2006 5.3 with 60k miles. The motor was then torn down and had a Competitioncams XR275HR camshaft installed with Comp cams valve springs and trunion conversion kit,all new #33 injectors,85mm Summit racing throttle body,all new gaskets ect. Sits on Dirty dingo motor mounts,Has a Fitech ultimate stand alone ECU with touch screen tuner. Shoenfeld Headers with 2 1/2inch dual exhaust with crossover tube and Flowmaster mufflers. Backed by a TH350 with a shift kit and stock transfer case. The differentialshave 3.73 gears and a factory locker in the rear. Also has a Classic industries baffled stainless fuel tank with high volume fuel pump. the entire front suspension has been rebuiltand a new 4inch Rancho lift was installed with new Rancho shocks. Pretty much new black powder coated Alcoa style 15x10 wheels with 35.12.5.15 BFG All terrain tires. The motor sounds amazing with a lopey old school hot rod idle and great throttle response!! Runs and drives great!! Get's about 17mpg and runs 2400rpm at 70mph on the freeway. The body is amazing condition for never being restored! There was one professionalrepaint done years ago. Has a few blems and chips here and there to be expected from a vehicle of this age. Has a few very minor bubbles on the top of the wheels wells . They are very small and barley noticeable. Alsosome light surface rust were the paint has chipped. No through rust at all!! Check out the pics. It shows great for a driver and has just the right amount of patina . You could make it a show vehicle with a repaint but in my opinion it is in the perfect condition for all around use and fun!! The underside has never been undercoated or had anything covered up!! Very solid rockers,rocker boxes,floors,quarter panels,doors,fender,hood and windshield frame as well as the tailgate, The interior is out of a late 70's K5 with the high back buckets. There are some separationsstarting on the drivers seat but could be repaired or replace the cover. All the foam is in excellentcondition. The floors have been rhino lined for easy clean up. Has factory tilt wheel,factory air conditioningrig but not hooked up. I will include the LS style pump but you will need a Dirty dingo high mount kit for the pump to hook it up.Or just take the top off !! All of the tri, chrome and glass are in good condition. The top is also in very good condition with no cracks. If you have been in the market for a full top K5 Blazer that won't break the bank you might want to check this one out!! This is trulya turn key reliable rig that you could drive daily if you wanted to. Lot's of fun year round with this rig. I really wish I could keep this one. It is one of the best driving Blazers I have owned.
