1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible Additional Info:

This 1964 Impala SS belonged to a friend who was restoring it for his brother, Both have passed now, The car was bought for $6500.00 in 2011 for the restoration, It was then completely disassembled and bagged and tagged,
The entire frame and all drive train have been restored. Parts all blasted and re-plated or painted as needed,Frame is chassis black and Engine and transmission appear fresh, I have no receipts but have pulled a valve cover and inspected and I was able to start and run engine for 30 minutes, Distributor has been upgraded with a Petronix electronic conversion. Ran excellent, no smoke no noise, exhaust sounds great with welded steel chambered mufflers, All suspension parts are new or rebuilt, new brake and fuel lines are installed, power steering components all appear new, It is the original engine and has a late 63 date code, Power-glide transmission is a replacement but fresh and ready to go. I obviously have not driven it but fluid is clean and bright red,
Radiator has been restored and has restoration hoses and clamps, Carburetor is a 1965 Corvette 300hp manual transmission unit but works and looks great, I installed a new set of plugs and it is full of antifreeze.
There are lots of new parts including original bumpers with Show Chrome finish, all 6 pieces are very nice, New master cylinder and power brake booster, all original body mount bolts and nuts blasted and re-plated correct silver Zinc. all brake cables new Clock for dash is restored by Corvette central, wiper motor is NOS or restored professionally. All 4 rims were blasted and painted, New Hankook Optima HTZ tires, all new brakes and lug nuts,
When we got car home it was set together for storage, We removed body and sorted all parts to assure new buyer what is here, after all pictures and checks we made some temporary body mounts and set it back together. I installed steering column and it will be easily loaded for safe transport. The body is very repairable, Has some rust on floors and will need rear quarter and related sheetsteel repairs. Comes with a NOS passenger door skin, front fenders are very usable, RH has rust in dogleg but comes with lower section off a clean fender to repair, Trunk rail on RH side is rusty, Also comes with a original rail for repair, No fuel tank but new sender is here, Too much to list, Good luck!!
