In 1933, Chevrolet introduced the Master to replace the Chevrolet Eagle. This was to be in a higher price range, with Chevrolet's other models the Mercury and the Standard acting as more affordable options until 1937. The Chevrolet Master Coupe is one of the most iconic variations, and compared to its contemporaries may have even look ahead of its time! Determining the era during which a street rod was built can sometimes be easy: all it takes is looking at... the electronics, custom touches, and color scheme. Sometimes, a rodder of the past has made an almost timeless custom creation that can be easily updated to a more current look. This 1937 Chevrolet Coupe is one of those timeless rods that is ready to be shown and enjoyed for years to come even though the build is over 10 years old. Cosmetically, this car is in great condition inside and out! It is a solid build that has been put together right. The right person will surely appreciate the design and styling of this custom coupe for what it is! The exterior is covered in a striking blue paint job with gold accents. All of the paint is in excellent condition and shows well. This Chevrolet sits on a set of GM Rally wheels painted gold with chrome beauty rings and center caps. Additional exterior accents include blue and gold painted bumpers, a tasteful side-exit exhaust, and a steel body. Overall, the fit and finish is nice and it is clear that this car is a well put together solid example. Opening the hood, the first thing you'll notice is that each side has been outfitted with a gas-charged hatch strut/lift support like you might find supporting the trunk lid of a modern SUV or station wagon. Once you get over the surprise of someone having put that much thought into tasteful modifications, you'll notice the small block GM 350 V8. This engine was installed years ago when the car was customized, and is mildly built. The exterior of the engine is clean and attractive with a tasteful set of aftermarket valve covers and matching air cleaner. Additionally, this 1937 Chevrolet is equipped with a Heidts front end so you'll instantly fall in love with the way it drives down the road. The interior is one of those things that you either love or you hate. Many folks look at it and think it to be dated; others think it is cool and fun! Whether the interior is to your tastes or not, there is no disputing that it is in excellent condition, and very clean. This is a custom interior with receipts for $4,200 worth of work. The car looks as if it has never been sat in! In addition to the fun, custom seats and door panels, the previous owner also had a modern radio, speakers, and custom subwoofer enclosure installed. This is a nicely built car with lots of fun attributes and upgrades. The car comes with a fold of receipts for thousands and thousands of dollars that have been spent on repairs, upgrades, and custom touches. All it needs is a new owner!
