Seat belts were not legally required in rear automobile seats until 1968. This car, built in 1967, does have rear seat belts but they are from a 1967 Chevy (factory installed). They were left under the rear seat and not discovered until the mid 90's.
The car is currently flat black. The original color was Goldenleaf Green. About 175k original miles. Drives well. There is a short somewhere in the electrical so the lights don't always act as they should. The windshield wiper motor needs to be replaced. The ignitionswitch sticks and should probably be replaced although it starts and stops just fine.
The engine was rebuilt around 100k miles at only .010" over so it could easily be rebuilt again. The automatic transmission was rebuilt a little after that. The front end has been rebuilt with less than 15k miles on it. The dual exhaust, modeled after the 327 exhaust with crossovers of the same year, have less than 5k miles on them. There is a new fuel pump, starter, carburetorand clear in-line fuel filter. The gas tank is just about brand new and is stainless steel (the picture looks muddied but it is really the reflection of leaves on the face of the fuel tank. The trunk pan has been restored. The front & rear bumpers have good chrome. Garaged for much, but not all of its life. The brakes were redone (new cylinders& pads), lines cleaned and refilled with DOT 4 fluid. The distributor has been updated to HEI (inside the distributor so it still looks stock).
I note spots of rust under the vinyl roof above the trunk lid. I'm thinking this will need to be taken care of in the future before anything too bad occurs.
Interior is mostly original. The front seat has a repro cover on but the original large buttons were removed from the original and placed on the aftermarket skins so they look original and match the rear seat. The dash is a repro. I believe everything else inside is original, including the headliner. Some arm rests are missing. The trunk is full of parts (NOS antenna, restored front fender trim, several engine filters, spark plugs, etc.... whateverI had that goes with the car is there.
If I think of anything else to tell you, I will update the listing. But, for now, please ask any questions you may have. I've only driven the car about 300 miles in the last few years so it is now time to let someone else enjoy it.
