1986 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Silverado Additional Info:
Helloeveryone and thanks for taking the time to view my listing. This 1986 Silverado has been my baby for about a year now. It started life in Iuka, MS where it was sold new and has never been in an accident, nor has it ever had any rust issues. The rockers, door jambs, bed, cab corners, and lower fenders are where the rust usually pops up, but this truck has always had perfect body panels. The truck is absolutely phenomenal and needs nothing, but a new owner. This 1986 Silverado is a single-cab short bed C-10 finished in Frost White over red and powered by a replacement V8 paired with a 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 350 transmission. I was told that it is a 350cc engine that wascompletely gone through and rebuilt from the ground up, but am unsure if its a 350 or 305 because Ihaven't tried to verify it. It has lots of power, no hesitation and runs great. Considering it's acarbureted truck, its very reliable, isn't cold natured, and actually gets decent gas mileage. I bought the truck from a close friend who spent over $10,000 on it just with afull base/clear paint job and drivetrain refreshing. The trans is the original, but has been rebuilt. I performed a tune-up, transmission service, interior refreshment, replaced bothwindow regulators, and added the wheels and tires less than two months ago. This C10 has been a southern truck all of its life and currently resides just 20 miles from where it was sold new.
The wheels are 8 hole 5 lugs that I thought really fit thetruck. The Cooper Cobra tires are all in excellent shape and only have a few thousand miles on them. The wheels are excellent with nocorrosion or curbing on any of them.
The bed is in excellent shape and was finished out during the repaint. The slats are perfectly straight and there are no major dents or flaws inside the bed. It looks as if nothing has been hauled in the back of it.
I added an original style dash from USA 1 Industries along with their carpet and factory style seat cover. The door panels are original, but the switches and the pouches were replaced. The windows and locks operate fast and reliable, just as the should. The steering wheel is original along with the factory gauge cluster and factory radio. Even the dual tank switch works just as it should.
The chrome rock guard (metal plate) was installed to protect the edge of the bed where rocks tend to destroy the paint. This was not installed to cover up rust and it looks perfect behind the panel when viewed from under the truck.
The exhaust sounds great and is a true dual setup with no holes or leaks.
The headers are Hedman Headers and even though they have surface rust on them, there are no holes or problems with them. The were raw and untreated from the factory, so that explains why they look the way they do.
There are no rear diff leaks and the engine stays fairly dry with only a tiny drip from the rear main that shows up after the truck has been sitting for awhile.
The mileage is original and has never been tampered with.
The a/c system is completely new and blows ice cold. I even replaced the vents, so they show shiny and beautiful.
Thank you for taking the time to look through all of the pictures. There is no warranty with the truck and it's being sold as is, but it is mostdefinitely just as described. Iwouldn't be afraid to drive this truck anywhere andit's sure to make the next owner very happy. Feel free to make any reasonable offer andyou're welcome to call or text me if you want to discuss it further in person. Also feel free to message me through eBay.
