'57 Chevy C10 finished in '65 Corvette Nassau Blue with custom color keyed interior, 383 CI Stoker makes 500+hp, backed by a 700R4 Automatic with overdrive. This professionally built custom truck with fewer than 500 road miles on the build. She is a fair weather driven, show quality truck, capable of wowing people at the next Cars and Coffee or comfortably taking on the Hot Rod Power Tour Long Haul.
EXTERIOR
The all steel body is a tasteful combination of factory lines, custom metal crafting, and excellent paint and body work. Up front, all the signature C10 lines have been retained but cleaned up, hood line, headlight bezels, grill, and bumper all triple chromed, factory fasteners shaved off so the original lines "pop". Looking at the side view, you notice the stance is raked forward, head down, ready for attack. You will quickly notice that the doors are also cleared of clutter, shaved door handles, mirrors, or bright-work. The body-lines do all the talking. The rear step-side bed received the royal treatment of oak hardwood bed, body color staves and a high gloss finish. The race car flip top fuel cap is in the bed floor to keep the step side lines an unbroken sweep, cab to tailgate, ending the flip of rear wing built into rear of the box. The rear gate itself features 5 diamond inserts, the center one acting as a frame for the license plate. The rear tail lights are frenched in ovals, each housing two round Corvette inspired tail lights. Dual rear exit exhaust tips flank either side of the stainless-steel fuel tank. Polished Billet 9 spoke "flying hatchet" wheels reveal body color brake calipers and rear drums. The tires are a high-performance profile, but with enough sidewall to look at home on the C10 and ensure the ride is equal parts comfort and control. Overall fit and finish is excellent, worthy of a World of Wheels Trophy.
INTERIOR
The monochromatic theme continues in the interior with tufted velvet seats and custom dash, center stack, headliner, overhead consolette, and door cards. Love it or not, the quality of workmanship is undeniable. The custom dash and center stack houses digital gauges and polished chrome steering wheel. The console is crowned by a B&M ratchet shifter. The sound system is control by remote, A/C and lights by tastefully simple billet knobs. Bowtie emblems are embossed into each door and on the dash below the glovebox.
ENGINE BAY
Open the hood and you'll find a classic Chevy V8 383 Cubic Inch engine, painted body color, accented by polished aluminum and chrome accessories. All the hoses are steel braided with aluminum anodized clamps. The Holley Carb is topped by a vintage finned B&M Dual Side Draft Air Cleaner, with chromed Bowtie valve covers. Spark management is brought to you by the venerable MSD 6AL Ignition box, Coil, Distributor, and wires. Hooker Headers connect to a high flow exhaust. All things together, this powerhouse makes 500 ponies on pump gas. A Griffin radiator keeps everything cool, even the sizzling hot of Summer. Power Steering, Power Brakes, and Air Conditioning round out the accessories under the hood.
CHASSIS
The frame and suspension are straightforward. SLA front suspension with springs and shocks are painted body color. Rear suspension retains the live axle, mounted with a 4-link setup. Front power disc brakes and heavy-duty drums handle the stopping duties this custom C10. The undercarriage is clean enough to show and dirty enough to "go". Drive and enjoy this bad boy!
