1971 Chevrolet El Camino Additional Info:
Original cars are only original once and this is an original 1971 Chevy El Camino 350 5.7L V-8 with automatic transmission and factory air conditioning that my parents purchased new in Northern California. It is hard to find an all original car like this. They are only original once and this one shows it. Still has the original California Black and Gold plates . Original Lime green exterior with white vinyl top and Jade green interior. This car has been a faithful ride for many years and still runs well but could use a carburetorrebuild. . It has the original GEM TOP camper that was specific to the 1971 and 1972 models only. Very rare to find one with the top still intact. The camper top has been on this car it's entire life, the bed of the truck is like new. My father built a wood bed protector and has kept the bed in excellent shape. This El Camino also has factory air conditioning and the factory tachometer/ sport gauge pack in the dash. It currently has approx. 112K miles and they are original. There are a few door dings on the body but not severe. Check the pictures to see body panels. I have had the transmission rebuilt in 2008, new rear tires in fall 2017, New power steering pump and steering gear box in May 2018 and new fuel pump August 2018. The A/C is intact and was converted to R-134, it does need a recharge and possible a vacuum switch as it will not blow out of the upper dash vents. You can tell this was not cut up as even the factory radio was A/M and dash was not cut up. The bench seat needs to be recovered and the paint, top also need to be redone. There is rust under the back window caused from moisture getting trapped under the vinyl top. I had purchased a new tinted sliding rear window and the glass shop discovered the rust. I am including the new rear slider with the sale of the car. I was going to keep and restore the car myself but can't afford another project. I think its better to let someone else enjoy it and make new memories.I have the vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction earlyin the event it sells where cross posted. I encourage looking at the car in person, send me a message for a time to view it.
