By 1979, the "Square Body" Chevrolet C10 was in full swing. The 1979 year model received a new grille design, incorporating the turn signals as well as houndstooth interior for base models and the less common "Oyster" interior for more highly optioned trucks. The GMC equivalent of the Oyster interior is Mystic. This particular 1979 C10 is equipped with the Oyster interior and it really stands out against the dark exterior paint! Originally leaving the factory in Midnight Black, the... entire truck received a quality restoration and the fresh black paint really catches your eye. All the work that was performed on this truck was professionally restored and painted and the results are incredible. Look closely, Every little detail has been addressed. This C10 is nearly perfect, and may well be one of the cleanest trucks you'll come across. This is a well put together truck, and sliding behind the wheel is the closest one can get to sitting in a new one! This 1979 Chevrolet C10 is a borderline time-capsule and with the exception of a few minor upgrades is one of the closest examples to showroom original to be found. This truck has 62,783 actual miles and has been in the same family since new! It was originally purchased by a lodge in Hillsville, VA to be used as a company vehicle. Over the years, the truck became the old family truck and used for a variety of tasks. After the original owner's daughter inherited the C10, she and her husband had it fully restored to its former glory. With this type of history intact, you would expect to see original documents with a truck like this, and you won't be disappointed. A lot of the original documents are included in the sale such as the owner's manual, many receipts, and the original 1978 Virginia title as well as the original sales invoice from B&L Chevrolet Company in Hillsville showing the cost of $6,348.75 on December 21, 1978.The list price was $8,237.33, accounting for a variety of options including: a sliding rear window, bed rails, power brakes, power steering, tilt column, power windows, the Mystic/Oyster interior, and more! This two-owner, one-family truck is a showstopper and could be yours! If you want a vehicle that is truly a time-capsule, this is the truck for you. Your search for a pickup with provenance is over.
