1950 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
1950 Chevrolet 3600 pick up for sale. The 216 engine is rebuilt, clutch is new, transmission is fine. ($3,645.00 invested in the rebuild of the engine & clutch).Rebuilt carburetorNeeds new gas tank. The chassis has been cleaned & painted with POR 15The next step is to install all new brake lines, master cylinder, brake springs & hardware. The brake drums are fine, maybe needs a fine milling. The body has minimal rust problems on the back of the cab, but it will need rust out replacement panels for the sides of the cab. Readily available from "The filling Station"Needs new wiring harness & ignition switch, again, "The Filling Station" has these parts. The doors have no rust on them.Needs chrome work doneWill need new tires. The pick up bed can be restored, but in the long run, it would be more cost effective to buy a new bed & tailgate. The "Filling Station" has them for $3,500.00Front fender need work, but are not rusty.Rear fenders need work, some welding needed where they mount to the pick up body.Aprons are generally OKThe running boards are basically OK, some dents along leading edge, but not rusty.BASICALLY, a total restoration is needed. (weather strips, glass is OK, but new glass would be better, glass gaskets, glass channels n the doors, etc.)
All the rest of the parts are there, nothing is missing.
Health reasons is forcing me to sell the vehicle.
I had the previous owners death certificate to register it, PLEASE TAKE NOTE, that I put clear title in the listing. All I had is the last owners death certificate. It is not hard at all to obtain a registration. I had to do the same thing to my 1929 Buick when I bought it. There was no problem getting it registered.
The dashboard still has the radio knock outs in place, which I thought that was a cool thing. Sometimes you see these trucks where someone hacked up the dash to install a radio.
I would really like to keep it, but I am not healthy enough to finish it
Please give this truck another chance and give it a good home for people to admire it.
Buy it now for $5,000.00 or best offers considered.
