1966 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod Additional Info:
Start with a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette convertible that looks like nothing you've ever seen before. Then add in a performance V8, full custom interior, and an upgraded suspension. Now you have a unique custom that lives up to its speedy good looks. Everyone takes notice of this roadster, and it's for far more reasons than just the slick paint and crisp body creases. The elimination of the front bumper, smooth front panel (the headlights are now below), and the seamless integration of the deep chin spoiler make this one look like a shark that's hungry for dinner. And the performance attitude continues over every inch of the body. The tall L88-style hood is accented by a custom silver stripe package. Almost all trim is shaved, including the door handles. Fender flares draw attention to wide body kit, especially in the rear. And when you get back there, you see a custom creation that was clearly inspired by the champion Grand Sport C2s. But it also added custom elements like the taillights, center exit exhaust, and well-integrated spoiler to prove that this beast is no copycat. There is a color-matched hardtop and power windows to keep you fully buttoned up in this Sting Ray. But we really love this custom creation when it's open to the world. After all, the silver on the hood is a nice match for the full silver interior. This is a terrific mix of the best GM pieces expertly integrated into one package. And it all has a fresh feeling of investment. For example, the vintage pieces like door panels and dash tops are newer Al Knoch components. To that you add custom bucket seats borrowed from a later-model Pontiac. The center console and steering wheel are well-integrated C3 pieces. Plus, you get some great driver upgrades like the B&M shifter, tilt steering column, power steering, and full AutoMeter gauge package with large speedo and tach. When you lift the hood, there's more of that great silver and blue coordination. There's less than 500 miles on this whole build, so the entire engine bay looks exceptionally fresh. And while they spent a small fortune on polished components, you know people are really going to gravitate to the performance side of this hardware. That's because this 355 cubic-inch V8 has a large Demon 650 CFM carburetor and a B&M blower sitting on top. Plus, this V8's performance has been further fortified and enhanced with goodies like Keith Black pistons. Pro Comp aluminum heads, Be Cool aluminum radiator w/electric fan, and Hooker headers that feed a growling dual exhaust. The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt by Phoenix Transmission, so it can handle this extra power this one is bringing to the ground. And while the fully independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes already made these Corvettes one of the best handling cars of their era, this custom build goes further. So you'll notice upgrades in the undercarriage photos like the tubular front A-arms and QA1 coilovers. Beautiful paint, a full custom body, performance-mined interior, and serious power all come together in one terrific package. This fresh custom build is a one-of-a-kind, so don't miss what could be your only opportunity. Call today!!!
