1962 Chevrolet Impala SS Additional Info:
Highly original, ultra-low mileage, but with the right upgrades (like the A/C interior,) this V8-powered 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS delivers on all the best of your nostalgia. Ermine white is one of those great classic Chevy colors. It was the only one offered on the first Corvette, and it seems to have found the right home on this upscale Impala. The white has the kind of gloss and shine on this factory-correct color tells you someone invested in a respray to keep it looking regal. Plus, the pillarless hardtop profile, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual aerials represent the era correctly. This well-preserved appearance is likely no accident on a car that has barely averaged over 650 miles annually. And because this shows all the right signs of being a true Impala Super Sport, you get the right features like full badging, full-length trim with sporty machine-turned insert, and the hallmark six-light tail panel set within another machine-turned insert. So this is a highly correct and quite impressive total package. Arguably there's nothing better than a factory red interior. After all, you can almost see it radiating from within the white exterior. You have the right SS feature like the bucket seats and center console. Plus, there are great original elements like premium button-top presentation that's on the door panels and seats. In fact, look over everything, because you'll see all the right factory elements â€" from the dual-spoke steering wheel, to the AM radio that's still on display. But there is one obvious upgrade that makes this Impala so nice. Modern R134a air conditioning means you can take everyone for a ride in this full-sized coupe, and they all get to stay comfortable. Under the hood is a very tidy 283 cubic-inch V8, and the consignor states this is the original motor. It certainly looks the part with the fresh orange block, matching valve covers, factory air topper, and cleanly installed upgrades like the compressor. It inhales deeply through a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, and the newer dual exhaust gives you the right V8 tone. Plus, this is an easy cruiser with the Powerglide automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes. This is an in-demand coupe with exceptionally low mileage and a high degree of originality. And when you add in the ideal upgrades, you know this is the ideal classic. So don't let this SS slip away, call today!
