1964 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 2 door belair Additional Info:
.
History:Up for sale is a nice 1964 Belair Coupe survivor. The car belonged to a close family friend who bought it brand new from a Stewart Chevrolet in Colma back in 1964.The car was driven occasionally and on weekends with very mild use before retiring to storage in1986 due top the owner having health issues. The car sat covered in the garage with the the occasional turn on and drive around the block usage. Bringing up to date with current times, this Belair is back on the road in good driving condition.
Title:The car is a California car single owner vehicle and has a clean title.I have the original title which was issued by theState of California on 11/15/1967 after the car was paid off from the bank.2019 registration is paid for in the state of California.
Motor:327 Small Block Chevrolet motor with Fuelie cylinder heads.Edelbock intakeNew Edelbrock AVS2 CarburetorNew TuneupNew gas tank and sending unitNew water pumpMallory ignition systemfires right up and is as reliable as a new car. no smoking, no overheating and can be driven the distance.
Tires & brakes:New Hankook Optimo tires wrapped around the stock 14" rallies.New master cylinder, non power booster drums all 4 brakes. brakes are sensitive to the touch and stops on the dime.
Transmission:The original shifting mechanism was a three on tree manual, and later upgraded to a four on floor with a Hurst shifter. The M20 4 Speed with a rebuild prior to installation and shifts good, no pop outs or grinds all gears run smoothly.
Body:The Belair is an original color code 93-8 Dessert Beige and has been repainted correctly once in its original color. The car body is pretty straight with no dents or rusty areas and bares all of its original body and panels. The trunk looks very solid except for the bottom tire well where there is some rust through. A simple cut out and panel replacement should fix this area needing attention. It is only in area pictured, nothing structural or adhering to the other body panels. The car is missing two trims as pictured.
Interior:Interior is completely original and not missing anything. Factory sweep speedometer works as well as fuel gauge and dummy lights. All the aftermarket gauges including oil pressure, tachometer, voltage and coolant temperature all work. The car's blinker work but you will need to buy a new turn lever cancel for it to work again. Headlights work as well as brake lights.
Overall:The car turns on very easily and is drivable. This will be an easy car to restore as body is pretty straight and interior is all there.
