For your consideration is a nice, original 1957 Chevrolet 210 sedan. It has 70,199 original miles on it and has been in storage since 1980. The car has its original 283 engine and powerglide transmission! This 57 is equipped with factory power steering! I have known of this car for many years and was able to acquire it last spring. The last picture is of the car when it was pulled from storage.
After cleaning the car and assessing its condition, numerous repairs were made to get the car roadworthy. The car runs great, the power steering makes it an enjoyable driver! The Engine has had a tune up, points, plugs, cap etc. It has a new aluminum radiator, the original one comes with the car. New hoses and thermostat as well. I installed a new gas tank, sending unit, and fuel line. New fuel pump and rebuilt the carburetor. The complete brake system is new: shoes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, hoses, pre bent lines, and the drums have been turned. It has new tires as well. The engine starts easily and sounds great, it doesn’t smoke or make any unusual noises. The trans. shifts smoothly as well!
The interior is nice, the seats have been re upholstered at some point on the past! The black paint is old and has its issues, it looks good for a driver. The stainless trim is excellent, front bumper is nice. The center rear bumper is good, however the outer corners have rust in them. A good pair of bumper ends are included.
The body is nice, the doors, hood and trunk open and close as they should with good gaps all the way around. It does have a small amount of rust, rockers, lower front fenders, passenger rear quarter above the wheel well, and a small amount in the drivers floor. The frame is great, trunk floor is excellent especially the tire well and where the floor meets the rear of the body. All of the glass is good and side windows roll up and down with ease.
I have a clear title that will be given to the new owner once clear payment has been received. The car was in storage for 36 years when I purchased it, I have gone through the car to get it roadworthy. It is still a 61 year old car and is sold as is. I have driven the car less than 200 miles, it runs and drives great but has not been driven on any long trips.
A $500 deposit is due within 24hours, the balance in 5 days. The balance can be paid in cash, cashiers check or money order.
