1973 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
Here is a chance to buy a second owner, ALWAYS garaged, 1973 Camaro. This car was bought new at Van-T Chevrolet in Topeka, Ks and was kept in a garage when not being driven until I bought it in '99. I have kept it inside as well, and it has the lack of rust to prove it. It originally had a white vinyl top, white plaid inserts in the seats, no spoiler, steel wheels, and a 2bbl 350 with factory A/C. I had it painted and added stripes, front and rear spoilers, Rally wheels, and black seat covers in '01. After I got it looking right, I wanted more performance. I didn't want a race car, but just a dependable cruiser with enough power to get you in trouble. I put a new GM 330HP deluxe crate 350 in it. I had the turbo 350 freshened up and added some B&M stuff because I like second gear chirps. Then I put a new Auburn 3.42 posi unit in the rearend and had the front end rebuilt to round out the package. I kept the exhaust manifolds on it because I intended to drive it without issues, and I hate header gasket leaks. It has cold A/C, P/S, power front discs, and a nice stereo system with a sub in the trunk. It now has Coy wheels (17x8/18x9) with new rubber (235/45/17 and 275/40/18) and 2" Lowering springs. Today it is getting new carpet and a headliner. It is almost impossible to find one of these that some kid hasn't got his hands on. Under the hood it is almost exactly how it looked in 1973. I took some pics of the floor pans and under the roof to show how unbelievably rust free this car is. The bottom of the floors look as good as the inside. There are a few bubbles under the 16 year old paint at the lower rear of both fenders. (See pics) This is the most common issue with these, and it is easily repaired. I will have it fixed if I get asking price. You can drive this car like a little old lady, or you can smoke the tires all the way down the block. I drive it in the summer with the A/C on and it never gets hot. The ONLY reason I am selling it is because I am finally building my bucket list car, and I am going to need all of the funds that I can scrape up to get it done. This is a great car that I have enjoyed for 19 years, but it isn't my bucket list car. I defy anyone to find a more solid second gen Camaro. The doors have never had hinge bushings put in them, and they don't sag. I will help with delivery within 250 miles. There are no secrets with this car, so don't be afraid to ask questions. Thanks for looking.
