1977 CHEVY C20 3/4 TON FLEETWOOD PICKUP
First, some history, as this is what makes a vehicle special. This Silverado trim pickup has been in the family since it was purchased new in 1977 from now defunct Crossroads Chevrolet in North Hollywood, CA. This belonged to my wife's uncle. This truck was tended to and pampered as though it was his kid. The stack of work orders and parts purchases is almost two inches thick (more about all the repairs and upgrades later). For the past nine years, the truck saw much reduced use, as 'Andy' became ill. As his condition worsened, he let it be known that he wanted the truck to go to my son when he was gone. We took possession of the truck in early 2016. In this time, exactly 5150 miles were placed on from early 2016 to now in 2018. This is a California car, showing minimal surface rust in the bed with the usual little dings accumulated over 40 years. The worst rust is the size of the engine key, on the bed top wall (see picture). This Silverado is finished in the two tone yellow/white scheme. For a factory paint job that is over 40 years old, it's in great shape. It carries a very original and aged patina (for the restorers out there). There is a scratch show some surface rust and very slight indentation on the right side by the right side gas tank cap, about two feet long. This truck would make a solid base for a restoration. There are a few beautifully restored examples of C10s and C20s on Bringatrailer.com. A Snug Top was purchased in 2001 from LA area famed Vern's Truck Tops for $1200. I have the lifetime warranty sheet for it. This is included with the truck. Keep it or sell it.
The interior is in good shape. The headliner was replaced. There is one defect on the bench seat not quite a tear, all three seat belts are present and function. The dash has exactly two small cracks in it. The carpet is not stained, and factory rubber mats are included. The rubber seals on the windows are intact. The wing windows work. The rear window slides easily. The rear view mirror was removed but is included. A JVC stereo with Bluetooth and hands-free calling is installed.
I have a file almost two inches thick showing the GM Goodwrench rebuilt engine being installed to every smog check (it just passed smog) to every oil change and everything in between. The receipts total well over $15,000. You'll spend a few hours going over every line item on the work orders. The original dealer purchase contract is included, as is the factory owner manual and the Goodwrench warranty card. This is a well documented vehicle, not an unknown one with multiple past owners and questionable condition and maintenance. You know exactly what you're getting.
Some of the other work performed includesRebuilt carb receiptRebuilt smog pumpNew fuel linesNew water pumpsGas tanks flushedNew rear springsTransmission servicesLower ball jointsIdler arms and pitman armsNew headlinerRear aftermarket chrome step bumperAnd the list goes on....
eBay limits me to 24 pictures. Here's a link to a Flickr account with extra pictures and I'm working on getting a video of the engine starting and running:

Note: look for the pictures of the Snug Top and the video of the engine running. I have yet to take and load these.
You'll notice the picture with the sound deadening material under the hood, directly over the smog pump looks dark. Apparently, the smog pump got toasty at some point (hence the rebuild). There is no paint damage there. The vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, but it's not working. I know he was working on it before he passed, but I'm not sure exactly what he saw and what he was trying to fix. It may just be low on freon. Since we rarily used the truck, we never had it looked at. Spare tire and jack/wrench included. Tires have plenty of life.
I've tried to document the vehicle with as many pictures as possible. Nothing is being hidden. This is a solid example of a workhorse. If you're in the Ventura County area, come take a look. The truck is 15 minutes from the San Fernando Valley. Proof of insurance and drivers license required before test driving. No exceptions.
