You are bidding on a 1966 Impala SS L-72 427 425hp same owner since 1969 and been in storage since 1974 until I purchased the car 2years ago. This is a totally original car except for carpet, headliner and vinyl top. The paint is original and still has a good shine to be that old but does have some thin areas, good patina. The chrome is very nice with no pitting and stainless trim nice as well. This is a rust free car the underneath is as clean as the top. This car was ordered with the L-72 engine and muncie 4spd, 456 gear, console gauges and reverb radio. The drivetrain has been gone through top to bottom so motor, tranny and rearend are fresh. Everything is correct on the car the block was decked when machined but stamped back, it is the original motor to the car. The radio does not work and is missing 2 of the three rear speakers and the tach is on and off in working. This is a very rare car not sure how many are left but this has got to be the most original one out there hands down. The car comes with its original protectoplate and have photos if anyone wants to see can send. Car has new Gardner exhaust system since they are the only company that makes the correct one for an L-72. Car has 66 date coded original tires on it as well. This car should be taken to the Impala Nationals where I am sure it would place on originality. Please call with any questions or if you need additional photos.
