1979 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Additional Info:
This is a super nice Corvette! Everything is original including the paint (besides a little touch up here and there). The body doesn't appear to have ever been in any accidents and the frame is solid with zero rust (it's from an arid area and must have always been garaged to be this nice). The L82 350 V8 runs great and pulls strong. The brakes work good and the interior is in nice shape. There is some wear on the seats and steering wheel, but nothing major. Someone did install an aftermarket cassette player and CB radio. The only things that I would address if I were going to keep it are the shifter, steering wheel, and power window switches. The shifter is a little finicky(I've read they could be when new), but I think it would benefit a lot from a rebuild kit or Hurst shifter. It might just need adjusting? The steering wheel is fine, but a little faded, so I wanted to replace it or have it refinished. Finally, the window switches sometimes don'twork. These aren't major issues, but they would make the car a little nicer to drive. The air conditioning system is all there, but after testing it all, I'm guessing it will need at least a new compressor and center console switch to function. It has the rear window defrost, but it hasn't been cold enough to test. I'm just nitpicking here though. The car is very nice and ready to drive and enjoy. Fix the little things and keep up with the maintenance and you'll have a daily driver or weekend cruiser. I've really enjoyed it, but it's time to let someone else experience it. Please look through the extensive photo gallery linked to below. Shipping is the buyer's responsibility and I would rather not store it for more than a week or two. It is currently stored securely inside. This is a no reserve auction so it will go to the highest bidder.
