1930 Chevrolet Other Black accents Additional Info:
Three years ago we purchased this beautiful 1930 Chevrolet but all good things must come to an end. Garage space is a big issue and this quality restoration deserves the best in the way of storage. We purchased this on October 12, 2015 out of Augusta, Georgia. It was restored for a private museum collection a couple years prior to that but due to inventory change at the museum, it was later offered for sale at which time we acquired it..
The agent for the museum did not represent the vehicle with all honesty when we questioned driving it on tours, parades, and occasional pleasure driving stating that it was "road ready and could be driven anywhere!" When the enclosed transport opened up upon arrival to it's new home town and the car was driven onto the pavement we were pleased beyond belief with the beautiful condition both inside and out. The disappointment came when we drove it from the drop point of a large parking lot to our home and found out none of the lights were ever hooked up. We realized that for a museum piece these were not a necessity but we were misled by the seller which was very disappointing.
Over the first winter the electrical issues were immediately brought up to perfect working order, the gas tank was removed, sandblasted inside and a new tank liner installed. and two new headlights replaced the old ones. Originality is very important to us concerning our collector cars and the condition of the dash knobs was questionable so they were all replaced. The dome light switch and switch plate were replaced as was the rear view mirror stainless and the front apron trim. We had the wiper motor rebuilt and installed a new wiper arm & blade. For a safety factor turn signals were added.
In addition some cosmetic issues were completed. A 5-piece bumper medallion chrome set was installed, the proper hood ornament was added, and decorative flower vases and mounting brackets were installed (it's a woman thing!!!!). We can now. without a doubt state that this car is in better than new condition and ROAD READY.
This 1930 Chevrolet has a lot more living to do but time and space are issues so it needs a new home. The car is certainly a "head turner" in area car shows, was a background for wedding photos, appeared in front of historic homes for special tours they hosted, but is mostly enjoyed for the many leisure rides on nice days. Period dress when having it out and about make it even more outstanding but allow a lot of extra time to answer questions about the car.
This firm selling price significantly less than the purchase price and the cost of all the upgrades that were lovingly done to the car. Included in the sale are copies of receipts of parts & labor added, a 1930 Shop Manual, and a custom car cover. Please feel free to ask any and all questions prior to considering a purchase of this vehicle. Call or text 419-202-4531.
The buyer is responsible for delivery of this vehicle to their destination but the seller will cooperate with this transport and can suggest haulers they have personally done business with.
