1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:
1955 Chevy Bel Air Wagon
Original California car with a 327 V-8, power glide transmission, aluminum radiator, power front disc brakes, and brand new Coker radial whitewalls all around.
Seats were done in a western style at one point with non matching red in the front and pink in the rear. No door panels but I do have a carpet kit that will go with it.
It's a very solid car but it's a driver quality, not a show rod. There are dents, scratches, and areas of rust. The worst of which would be in the passenger side rocker and the drivers side rear roof but there are other small areas. Front floors have been repaired at one time. The red and white paint is an old respray and is far from perfect. The drivers rear door only works from the inside but otherwise all doors and windows work including the back hatch and tailgate. Passenger window is cracked.
Car runs and drives but will need work to be a reliable daily. The power glide transmission doesn't like to sit for more than a day or two and leaks significantly if not driven often. The brake proportioning valve has a leak as well so the car is currently only stopping on the rear brakes. I used to drive it on short trips often but since then I only drive it around the yard if needed. The headlight switch needs to be wired back up into the dashboard, and again the rear drivers door only opens from the inside.
I'm selling to finally finish a long term project that's been haunting me for years and I'm removing all distractions. Otherwise this car wouldn't be going anywhere, it's just to cool to not drive down to the beach and enjoy in that California sunshine!
