Great opportunity for a fun project. 1963 Chevy 2 Nova 400 Convertible w/ 2 speed powerglide and 194 cu in motor.
A convertible Chevy 2 Nova is rare. Only made for 2 years in 1962 and 1963, these cars are hard to come by for a reasonable price. This car was rescued from Missouri and was last registered in 1989. It then spent most of its life in storage waiting to be restored. I purchased the car 4-5 years ago with the same plans, but too many other projects have gotten in the way and now I am out of storage space and I will not let the car sit outside.
This car needs a full restoration, but the good part is all the required parts of the body is solid. The car will need lots of rust repair including sheet metal and under the car. The floors of the car do appear to be solid, but I have not torn the car apart for a thorough inspection. Please do not think this car is ready for a quick paint job - it requires true repair and restoration.
This car has all the original hardware, trim, knobs, and chrome/stainless to make the project a success. Chevy 2 Nova's are great to work on because the parts are readily available and reasonably priced compared to the larger cars.
This car has all the glass, trim, etc. The car is also a very rare POWER CONVERTIBLE TOP. The pump is not there, but all the pieces are to put it together. They make a pump, cylinder, and hose kit readily available aftermarket.
The car also includes a set of Chevy SS Nova hub caps, along with an additional set of wheels and tires. The wheels and tires on the car are in good shape and newer tires. They were on my other car as running wheels before I installed them onto this car as the original tires were dry rotting.
The car does run and drive, although its not in any shape for a road trip. The transmission leaks, but shifts and moves well. The motor starts and idles and has good power for a 194ci.
Please call with any questions. The car has seen better days, but is all there and ready for a great project. I can help with loading in person or for shipment if you prefer.
Car is in Duncansville, PA
