1974 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible Additional Info:

1974 Corvette Stingray

Convertible with 350 CID V-8 L48 engine and four-speed manual transmission. GM produced only 5,474 convertibles in 1974 with even fewer having the four-speed manual transmission.

Great looks and pure fun to drive! Numbers matching and mostly original. Low mileage, well maintained, always garaged beauty is a real head turner when driven in town and many positive comments at local car meets. Not perfect, but very, very nice.

1974 is the first year GM replaced both metal bumpers with urethane ones giving a sleeker, streamlined body design. This beauty is painted Mille Miglia Red. T has a Dark Red leather interior in very good shape and matching red carpet. Door panels are in excellent shape. Dashboard and instruments look great. Windshield/windows are clear with no chips. Chrome luggage rack and chrome vents dress up the exterior. Currently has a small steering wheel to accommodate my 6'5" body, but will include the full-size wheel it came with.

At some point this car was repainted the original factory color. Looks good from 5 feet away, but some flaws up close. These don’t show in photos. You could repaint/restore, but I and the last owner were fine with the looks and car has gotten lots of compliments.

Drives well with plenty of pick up and go. V-8 engine, four-speed manual transmission, power steering, power brakes, original shifter, dual exhaust. Last year made without a catalytic converter. Alloy wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, size P245/60R15 have good tread.

Just 28,300 miles on the dash. This eye-catching classic has spent most of its life in rainy, rainy Oregon and mainly came out in the summer and on sunny weekends, hence the low mileage. The mechanic who inspected before I bought and had it shipped it to California last year was wowed by its condition and said it was like it had been in a cocoon for 40 years. The loving care it has gotten really shows.

Comes with near new car cover, owner manual, assembly manual and various odds and ends the last owner gave me.

If you are looking for a fun ride, this one is terrific. I've enjoyed it for a year and hate to sell, but my height makes getting in and out a challenge. Come be the next loving owner.
