An iconic classic dressed for tasteful, yet impactful visibility while carrying serious power under its hood is always a welcome sight, and cars don't get much more iconic than this 1956 Chevrolet 210. Even better still, it features a number of well-chosen modern upgrades that make it well suited for frequent driving. Its beefy front bumper is a conversation piece unto itself and the two-tone orange and white paint gives this classic Chevy an era-appropriate, magnetic... look. Just the right amount of pearl was added to the pigment, so as it basks in the sun, the paint really pops. With its substantial bumpers combining with an extensive assembly of trim, detailed hood ornament and front grille, this 210 has few rivals as far as the collection of chrome it displays, and everything in sight sits securely and shows no major blemishes, though some polishing will take it to a higher level. The colorful emblems on its hood and deck lid are especially vibrant, both its headlights and taillights look fresh and its cabin is surrounded by clear glass. Those long, arching stretches of trim lining its sides run level as they span from fender to door to rear quarter panel, and nice, even gaps surround the doors and hood - both good signs this automotive icon is well aligned and straight. It's a stout, generously proportioned cruiser holding the promise of fun-filled miles on the highway and boulevard alike, and just the mere sight of it is enough to elevate your mood. The tan vinyl interior beyond the doors is a nice complement to the orange and white outside, with plush bench seats in front and back that look fresh and well-padded for comfort and door panels that show very little wear. The billet steering wheel sitting on its tilt column looks great in this setting and just beyond it, the distinctive fan-shapes of the instrument cluster and matching panel that looms over a sizable clock on the passenger side are surrounded by freshly painted steel. The set of control switches sit securely in place, and with some refurbishing they'll really help complete the look inside. A custom console has been added just below the dash to house the B&M shifter and a trio of aftermarket gauges are in place to monitor engine temperature, oil pressure and voltage. A set of four well-placed vents direct the air conditioning inside the cabin. In back, the trunk area is spacious, bordering on cavernous, and with its tan lining exposing the rear wheelhouses, you can see that everything looks solid here. This '56 features plenty of exhilarating yet dependable power. A 355 cubic inch roller motor sits in the engine compartment, sporting a set of aftermarket aluminum heads, an Edelbrock high rise intake manifold and a 4-barrel carb for even more performance. An assortment of chrome components inside the bay - including the V8's valve covers and oval air cleaner, as well as a brake booster and master cylinder, alternator and air conditioning compressor - really complete its look, while an aluminum radiator sits up front to keep engine temperatures in check. A smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission combines with power steering and power disc brakes at all four corners to give this classic the road manners well-matched for frequent driving, while 18" Ridler wheels outfitted with low profile Nankang tires take this Chevy's curb appeal to a still higher level. With its classic looks and an array of upgraded, modern components, this 1956 Chevrolet 210 is a blast to drive and would be an awesome addition to any garage. Call today!
