Survivor cars are more and more popular these days and getting harder and harder to find. We have a great one here with this sweet '82 Corvette. All original including the paint, interior, and numbers matching engine. Last of the C3 generation, first on several technological advances like the fiberglass rear spring which is a Corvette standard item now. Come on down and check it out. This car has the beautiful color combination of Silver Blue Metallic... with a Dark Blue two-tone. The hood was restyled for '82 and the tapered bulge in it is outlined nicely with the Dark Blue. Changes were made to the nose of the car for better air flow to the radiator and lower aerodynamic drag. The fact that it looks great too is a "form following function" bonus. The two-tone paint breaks at the mid body line with a medium blue stripe separating the two. A Crossfire Injection badge appears on the front fender. Removable glass T-roof sections store in their own bags and make for some nice open-air motoring when you wish. The rear bumper was restyled along with the front for better air flow too. Corvette appears in script between the taillights and crossed racing flags are on the gas cap as well as the hood. Open the door and you will find a wonderfully preserved, all original interior. The door panel is nicely stitched, tight and clean with just an armrest, door handle and power window switch. The seats are comfortable and supportive with just enough wear to them that they fit like your favorite jeans. A leather wrapped three spoke wheel feels good in your hands, has crossed racing flags on the horn button, and is mounted on a tilt and telescoping column. The dash is super clean with the 37,766 original miles indicated on the odometer on the left with the tach mounted to the right. The center console has a five-gauge cluster mounted just over the original radio. On the floor is the shifter for the automatic transmission and the power window switches with just enough wear to let you know that this is a survivor car, not a restored one. Pop the hood and you will find the Crossfire Injection system that was advertised on the fender, and first appeared in this car. It was comprised of two throttle body fuel injectors combined with a new computer control system. There are lots of recent maintenance receipts that are things you would expect on an older, low mileage car. New belts, fan, new air conditioning compressor and dryer and new valve cover gaskets as well as plugs and wires and a heater control valve. The power flows back through a new (in 1982) 4-speed automatic transmission with lower first and second gears than the old 3-speed for better acceleration, and an overdrive fourth gear for cruising. New in '82 also was an aluminum Dana 44 independent rear suspension differential and crossmember that along with the fiberglass rear spring saved a bunch of weight. New just recently are bushings front and rear along with rear shocks and new brakes all around. The car sits on factory aluminum mags with 255/60R15s all around and just received a 4-wheel alignment. An all original survivor car with maintenance records, the original window sticker, owner's manual and warranty card. You should probably come on down and get while the gettin's good. This car probably won't stick around long.
