A 1964 Chevrolet Impala hardtop with extra V8 power, four-on-the-floor, and just the right subtle upgrades - oh yes, this is the classic you promised yourself a long time ago, and now it's ready at an obtainable price. The '64 Impala is a legend for being long, premium, and quite sporty, and this one really represents all that nicely. It starts with the way the body panels still retain their crisp edges. You see it in the sheetmetal... crease that starts ahead of the headlight continues down the whole profile like an unbroken line until it melts into the surround for the iconic three taillight arrangement. And the brightwork is well done on the wraparound chrome bumpers, wide grille, and full-length C-channel stripe. But more than just get the classic elements right, this one really knows how to look great in the details. For example, not only does the yellow paint have a nice gloss and shine, but as you look closer, you'll notice the ghost flames that have a pearlescent glow (a nice hint at upgraded power.) Plus, those 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels do a fantastic job of highlighting the more aggressive stance. Inside, the black looks great against the yellow, and this interior looks quite complete, right down to the premium button-top presentation. This coordinates well with the door panels, carpeting, and dash to create a terrific cruising atmosphere. In fact, this has the kind of features that will make you want to always be out for a drive. The power windows allow you to show off the sporty hardtop profile without ever leaving the driver's seat. And the AM/FM/CD stereo in the glovebox has iPod and Bluetooth connections, so you can listen to the most modern music players in this very vintage ride. While you have the classic dash and steering wheel, there's also a newer tach prominently mounted on the steering column. It goes particularly well with the Hurst shifter. Under the hood is a year-correct 283 cubic-inch V8. It will be nice to speculate about the originality of the block, but this one was also upgraded for show and go. It has extra flair with the bright valve covers, air topper, and alternator. But more importantly on a cruiser like this, the small block has been upgraded for extra power with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and Hooker headers that feed a rumbling Flowmaster dual exhaust. And you have complete control over this enhanced V8 and its thunder thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, as you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll see this has been treated to the right maintenance over the years. Add in great driving features like power steering, front disc brakes, and an aluminum radiator (it keeps you cool while even idling in traffic) and this is an all-around great driving classic. Complete with build receipts, this is the iconic coupe that has been upgraded for the ideal classic car experience. That's why you don't want to miss this deal. Call today!!!
