When you make a dream muscle car list, right at the top is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS with the powerful LS6 big block. So when you see a restored coupe with slick red, four-on-the-floor, all the correct details, and serious V8 power, you know it will make your enthusiast heart skip a beat... and everyone else's, too. When you know muscle machines, the '70 Chevelle coupe is your dream ride. This one year seemed to represent... both sleek and muscular all in one glance. You really see this fastback bodystyle the best in the 1970-correct Cranberry Red. And the reason why the curves shine so brightly is because you're looking at a modern clearcoat application. And speaking of curves, those bright bumpers are so nicely integrated into the bodywork. While this one has a growling dual exhaust, you don't have to turn the key to be intimidating. The black dual SS stripes, blacked-out grille, hood pins, Mag-style SS wheels, and power bulge in the real-deal cowl induction hood are all part of why you know the Super Sport is king. A black interior is what we all love to see, especially when it matches the exterior stripes. This completes the factory-correct color package, and so this coupe has looked great from day one. In fact, speaking of originality, this one really nails the time capsule like appearance with the clean dash, crisp door panels, and nicely textured bucket seats. Even the factory-style AM/FM radio is still cranking out the tunes! But what really make this ultra-desirable are all the performance components. Your right hand will be instantly attracted to the Hurst shifter, and your left one will love the grip of the dual spoke steering wheel. This also gives you a nice view of the full U14 round gauge package that includes a large speedo and tach. Under the hood is a terrific-looking big block. The satin black fender walls funnel your attention to the bold orange of the 454 cubic-inch V8. This is believed to be an original Super Sport. The motor is not original to the car, but there has been careful consideration for the LS6 motor in both appearance and performance. For example, it's an era-correct LS6 block that was fully rebuilt in 2014, and the stampings have been coordinated. So it has come from the correct timeline, and it has all the right fresh investments. Topped with a four-barrel carburetor, this is a serious power package. They even made sure to get the details right, including the diaphragm around the air element so this can inhale cool air from the functioning cowl induction hood. The big V8 exhales as it growls through a stainless dual exhaust, so it announces its power superiority the moment you twist the key. You get to fully harness this power with the Muncie four-speed manual transmission. In fact, control is well in hand. That's why you have a stout 12-bolt rear end with Positraction, and there are also added reinforcement bars on the fully-boxed rear arms. Plus, you have great driving features like power steering, front disc brakes, and sway bars front & rear. Here's a terrific build of an ultra-desirable LS6 Chevelle. It's a turn-key intimidation machine that will find a new owner soon, so you might want to hurry up if it's going to be you. Call today!!!
