1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS #s matching 350/4-speed Additional Info:
Up for sale is my 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Rally Sport with the original numbers matching 350 engine and 4 speed transmission.
Has an Oregon paper title, not just a BOS.
West coast car, first owner had until 1995(stored 11 of those years while in the Marines) until he sold it and that owner has put less than 1000 miles on it since 1995. Garage kept, very well maintained car.
The car was originally 65 50 which is Olympic Gold with a Dover White top, two tone car. Only 2.4% of '69 cars were two tone. When original owner got out of the military he had it stripped and all painted Dover White. Randy(second owner)had the vinyl top added after he bought it. The paint is 30+ years old but shows very well, there are a few imperfections. The interior(723 Midnight Green)with the exception of the radio and dash pad/armrests is completely original. Again, shows very little wear. The odometer reads just over 31k, I had the car inspected by a collector/inspector/appraiser with 50 years of experience and while I am not stating nor can I 100% verify, this appears to be the original miles on the car. Again, I AM NOT stating nor verifying, this is just our professional opinion.
Second owner installed a date code correct 12-bolt 3.31 posi from a SS car. Aug 2017 the car had the sub frame removed and powder coated, fire wall cleaned and painted, core support powder coated, new inner fenders, upgraded A-arms, bushings, disc brake conversion, and alignment. Car runs and drives wonderful to be almost 50 years old, the Hurst shifter is extremely tight, very smooth at 70 MPH, doors open and shut proper, and has a working cowl induction hood. Previous owner installed a 268 cam, aluminum intake, and a Holley 4 barrel carb when the engine was pulled and overhauled in 2017. He also added HPC coated headers and a great sounding dual exhaust. At the same time he removed the vacuum setup for the headlights and installed an electric one.
Every item currently works on the car, wipers, horn, lights, reverse lights etc. This is a very nice cruiser, shows very well but is not perfect with 30+ years old paint, the right 1/4 appears to have been replaced by the original owner since the 2nd didn't, all else appears to be original sheet metal.
This car is FOR SALE, but not a must sale. This is my 5th gen1 Camaro, 3rd numbers matching car. I have it priced right for what she is. With perfect 65 50 paint this could easily be a $50k car and these cars are only going up in value.
