Up for sale we have a stunning 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible. This car has undergone a complete Frame off Rotisserie Restoration. Also, it has been upgraded to be one of the sweetest Resto Mods that you will see on the market! In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of this Chevrolet, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of this Stingray. From first glance you can the body on this Vette is phenomenal and all the body lines flow beautifully from the front to the rear. When restored it was done in the base coat clear coat. The two-tone Silver paint scheme is one of our favorite things about this Vette as it really brings the stinger hood to life. It has all been buffed and polished to a gorgeous shine that's slick as a ribbon and is accented by the Black Convertible top. All the chrome and stainless is in excellent condition with all the bumpers appearing to have been replaced. The attention to detail in this restoration is amazing as the two-tone scheme carries to the side pipe covers and it's completed by the two-tone 18" and 20" Billet Specialty Wheels with the Custom Red Line Diamondback Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the inside it was redone in the saddle colors which is a gorgeous complement to the Silver color combo. All the door panels and both seat covers appear to have been replaced and are in like new condition. Looking at the dash you can see that the gauges have been updated and that they are working as they should. You'll also notice that this car does have the Tilt wheel and that it has been upgraded with Vintage AC and an aftermarket radio. In the console it has the Long 5 Speed shifter and the custom boot to match the seats and door panels. All the carpet looks to be new as well and in the back you can see it has custom panel to hide where the speakers go.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the hood it features a fresh built LS1 engine that we were told produces around 600HP and has high performance internal components. It's set up with the Weiand John Lingenfelter Aluminum Intake and has Hooker Headers that run out to the Side pipes. To keep it cool it has the Aluminum Radiator and an electric fan. Along with have Vintage AC it has Four Wheel Power Disc brakes with the 6 Piston Z06 Upgraded Calipers on the front. Out back it has 4 piston calipers and all the rotors are drilled and slotted. The LS1 Engine is mated to the Richmond Five Speed Trans mission. When you look under this '66 you can see the effort put into making this an amazing rotisseries restoration as everything has a beautiful detail. The gas tank and fuel lines have been replaced. Also, you can see the suspension was upgraded with Global West Tubular Control arms and front Coil Overs. Out back it has the SharkBite Coil Overs.
