1980 Chevrolet El Camino Additional Info:
This auction is for a Custom 1980 El Camino, which was professionally redone about 6 years ago. Garage kept and only has about 6-8,000 miles since restoration. Motor started out as a 79 block 010 4 bolt with a steel crank. Was rebuilt with 202 heads, aluminum manifold, holly carb, headers etc too much to list. Has a nice rumble to it, and is very drivable with the T5 trans you could cruise very nice even with the 373 gears. It has an aluminum radiator with dual fans that makes it run cool in any temperature. I have used the car on long trips and is a very comfortable ride. The leather seats are from a Pontiac WS6 Trans Am which are also power. It has an overhead consul with light vanity mirrors. Rear view mirror has compass and temperature features. 3rd Break light incorporated into rear window. This is a very user friendly car. The body is very straight, and it has a good mark steel cowl hood. Fenders and header are from a newer 87 type el Camino. Tailgate has been filled where license plate was. Car has fiberglass bumpers and the bed is extremely clean. And is 2 toned like the car. The car is painted with green pearl and has ghost graphics which are hard to see in pictures. The graphics are on the tailgate, the header and on the side by the small back glass. When the sun hits them they are very noticeable. The car really drives well, when was redone was reassembled with new bushings and links, gas shocks, lowering spindles and springs. The car has a driveshaft loop, a 2 1/2 inch exhaust with just pipes TA tips in rear. Coys rims with hancook tires. The car has a nice stance. All new seals, rubbers and belt moldings where also installed. Lots of money was thrown at this car. The car speaks for itself. It needs a new home as I have no time for it any more. The A/C is charged but the compressor is rattling. Was converted to R134 and was crazy cold before compressor noise. Windows are slowing down from non use, power door locks stopped working I think it is a relay I might have one I will throw in with the car. The radio volume switch is sensitive I got used to it but it should be addressed. I would use this car anywhere. Good luck and please ask questions BEFORE bidding.
