1962 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
Up for your consideration is my 1962 C-10 long bed pickup. These trucks make great hot rods, rat rods or cruisers. I was working on this one,but lost my garage space,so I have to let it go. It was originally a 6 cylinder 3 speed manual, but I purchased a 327 and turbo 350 to give it a little more performance. I also have a dual circuit power brake setup for it that will make it stop better. It was a running driving truck when I got it. I stripped it down to the cab and started working on the passenger side metal repairs. It comes with almost all of the panels necessary to make the repairs. I completed the passenger floor/rocker/cab mounts, etc as you can see from the pictures. I enjoy doing this stuff, and the truck is pretty easy to repair because the metal is fairly thick. I hung the door back on the truck, and everything lines up nicely. The next thing to do would be door lower skin and inner bottom. The driver's side is still in the same shape as I purchased it. As you can see the previous owner was a master with the rivet gun. Good for a rat rod,but I own a welder! Think of all the fun you will have fixing this up,and watch as your neighbor's annoyance turns to envy! There is some rot at the edges of the roof, but the only repair section available was the strip above the windshield which I have. The A pillar on the passenger side will need some work, but I will include a good solid used section to weld in. The 327 will need a rebuild, but I think has never been bored,so Is a great core. The engine/transmission and all of the ancilliaries will be included if the bidding goes over 1000. If it doesn't, I will save the drivetrain for another project. Here is a list of some of the parts included: Floor panel, rockers, cab mounts,a pillar section, fender bottoms, door bottoms inner and outer, hood front panel, cab corners, over the windshield strip, bed strips that go between the wood. of course you get all the door parts, vent windows lights etc. All the glass is intact, but removed. The engine and transmission and related parts will ONLY be included if the bidding goes past 1000,but includes a 327(1968 I think) short block,2 sets of heads(one is double hump),Edelbrock intake, rams horn exhaust manifolds, distributor, alternator, starter, water, oil&fuel pumps, motor mounts etc. I think just about everything you will need. The tranny comes with the flywheel and torque convertor. The bed is not bolted down. That is why it appears offset in the photos. The bench seat and gas tank look pretty good, and the dash has its original gauges. Bed and tailgate are pretty solid with only a few small pinholes in the front rail and above the rear wheel. The wood in the bed should be replaced, but the new strips are included. If you have any questions, please ask. I will try and check my messages after work and respond. I can not store the truck inside for more than a few weeks,as it is in my bosses' shop right now,and I don't want to push my luck. I would like you to come get it within 2 weeks of purchase if possible,or arrange shipping. Thanks for checking out my auction!
