1965 Chevrolet Impala SS Additional Info:
Here is your chance to own one of the unique cars from the 60s, a 1965 Impala SS 409. I've had my 1965 Impala SS 409 for ten years, and I am moving and will not have the garage space to store and maintain my great 409 Impala SS. ThisImpala is asurvivor and is mostly original. It started life as a 409 cubic inch, 340 HP car and was updated sometime before my ownership to 409/425 specs using the heads and manifold from a 1964425 HP engine with Crane Roller Rockers.
The had the engine rebuilt by Borchardt Speed in Milwaukee, WI. The distributor was updated with Pertronix Ignitor, and a new CenterForce clutch and Eaton Posi unit were installed.
The engine block numbers match the VIN and the transmission and rear-end numbers match up with the build date. I have no paperwork documenting the mileage, so I am not confident on actual miles, but I did replace the original u-joints during my ownership.
The old lacquer paint is not original and looks good from a distance, but there are chips, some hairline cracks and heat cracks in the hood, and a few places where it has been polished so much the primer is starting to show through. You will not find any body rust though!
The radio and backup-lights do not work. The dash temperature gauge has been replaced with a Sun unit so I can monitor temperatures a little closer and added an oil pressure gauge.

Will also include 3 NOS hubcaps, lots of spare parts, manuals, a set of 340 HP heads and a 340 HP cast iron intake manifold.
