If you are looking for a loud, in your face, Joe Dirt raked, obnoxious, rust and primer Chevelle please look elsewhere. This is not that kind of ride. It's a lot more civilized. We took a Idaho/Oregon dry desert "granny coupe" Malibu and did some upgrades. Paint is high roll metallic dark green from, no-kidding, a Mack truck chip. It's 2 stage ppg, got a ton of metallic and a lot of highly buffed clearcoat. It looks like it was sprayed ten minutes ago, its so wet looking. Body was very good to begin with, we found minor rust on the trailing edge of both front fenders, one small spot on one front wheel well lip and two half dollar sized drip holes in the trunk. All were properly repaired with metal and are now invisible. Trunk is rhino lined. Original vinyl inner fenders were replaced with new metal ones. New grille and grille trim. This is one straight car. Car came in with a good running, non original, 350. But that went away, as I had an unused 454 sitting in the shop . Engine has Howards Street Force 2 cam. Edelbrock manifold and carb, Summit long tube headers. These Howard's cams don't have the radical idle of some of the other makes but do make the power. So don't expect this to idle like a top fuel car it doesn't. It's surprisingly smooth power actually. Judging by most of the other Chevelles out there it must be illegal to build one of these cars without a cowl induction hood, racing stripes, and fake SS trim. Must be the bad boy coming out in me, we didn't do that stuff. It has new 17x8 inch big slot chrome ralleys with new BFG staggered low profile rubber. Interior is custom fabric and a little older but still nice. New tach, gauges, and steering wheel. In the interest of full disclosure there is a mightily stout frame reinforcement area about of 6 inches on one frame rail. I have no knowledge of who, what, when, or why that is there. Car showed no evidence of collision or abuse. Has th350 auto trans, power steering and manual brakes. Runs and drives great, but is 47 years old so don't expect a new Lexus driving experience. I'm sure there are things to be fixed depending on your level of skill and interest. I will make car available for your professional inspection prior to end of auction. I highly advise it.
