1978 Chevrolet Corvette Silver Anniversary Additional Info:
Originally purchased from a close friend 4 years ago, my son and myself have restored this Corvette to a great daily driver and more. We've done a lot of tweaking to make it even more fun to drive and even better to listen to. This Vette is an absolute beast cranking out 70 psi of oil pressure ready to fly when you drop the hammer! Needs to be dyno'd to get exact hp and torque but is an incredible machine to say the least. I have a Hellcat personally and this Corvette feels every bit as strong despite not having a supercharger.
The engine has been completely overhauled by Ed Lee (local race tuning engine guy of some notoriety) top and bottom in last 2 years. Rebuilt the transmission, new intake Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Holly 4 barrel carb, Pro Cam, new tires, alignment and brakes, upfitted AC, new pcb's behind dash, paint is new but has a couple flaws at the rear (see photos). Many of extra parts and over $30K invested in this vehicle. Please email me any specific questions. Of note: I have the original block but elected to use an alternate block (bored over .30 to make it a 355 cubic inch) when redoing the bottom end of the car. Welcome to take the original block with you or I will dispose of.
My son is going to College and won't be able to take this car. Despite the fact he'd like to keep it, it's better to sell vs. let sit for 4 years.
Selling "as is" with no warranties. While I feel strongly this car is built to last and the engine is in excellent condition, it is a 40 year old car. Parts for this model (C3 era) are readily available on the internet and even locally at most part stores. Older cars require regular maintenance and upkeep to ensure performance. I only use premium gas as well and recommend the same to any Buyer.
