Delivered in the California desert north of LA, this beautiful car spent its early life there, heading east in the '80s for its first total ground up restoration in 1987-88. The car then achieved multiple NCRS awards, including the coveted NCRS Duntov in 1991, and went on to Bloomington Gold and the Triple Crown award in the early 90s. The car then sat in indoor storage with minimal driving until I purchased it in 2011. At that time, it was given another body-off restoration, and in 2013 went on to achieve its 2nd Duntov award, an accomplishment only a hand full of Corvettes have ever achieved.
Since that time the car has spent its time mostly in climate-controlled storage, remaining in its pristine condition, with only enough miles put on to keep it in top running condition. All judged parts are either still on the car or come with it (notably tires, wheels and hubcaps).
It has a perfect desert-driven frame and original fuel injection engine, the engine it came from the factory with. A complete owner history to new is available and its life as a fuel injected car can still be attested to by the 2nd owner, a close friend of the now-deceased original owner.
The car is as nice a 63 as the awards suggest. Please note that due to the number of forged documents being made today, (as well as bogus cars, and multiple scammers), I won't send additional documentation or detailed histories to unknown people. If you are a serious buyer, either just bid based on the accurate descriptions here, or come and see the car and all the documentation before bidding. I recommend the later.
Inspections may be done in the Detroit area, by appointment only. Please note that he car has passed its NCRS Performance Verification requirement for Duntov Award. It therefore drives, and every system performs, very much like a 63 Corvette did when new. As such, no test drives.
$1000 deposit must be wired or transferred on PayPal within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Balance due per terms specified below within 7 days of close of action. Car can be delivered within 200 miles of Detroit. Outside that area purchaser must arrange and pay shipping. Note that car will only be turned over to your transporter (or purchaser) after payment is verified per terms below.
Please note that I won't respond to price questions, car criticisms, or any remotely demanding inquiries. Thanks.
