1946 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
You are looking at a perfect start for a that patina "shop-truck" build that everyone wants! This 1946 Chevy has the look you are after. The truck is a 1946 Chevrolet 3100, half-ton, short bed pickup. These trucks are getting very hard to find in this configuration, especially with a bed and rear fenders in such good condition. If you have shopped for a truck of this body style for very long at all, you know that good rear fenders are extremely hard to come by. This truck was optioned with the 216 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder engine and the floor shift manual transmission. The engine is free, and turns over when hooked up to a battery, but needs a tune up to run properly. The body has little rust on the exterior. There is some rust on the interior panel above the windshield (pictured). Also a little rust starting to show on the bottoms of the doors(pictured). There is some damage on the driver front fender (pictured). There is a hole cut in the front panel of the bed (pictured). There is a steel bed floor that has been added over the top of the original wood. The cab is a dual windshield wiper cab. All glass needs to be replaced, but the truck will come with new uninstalled glass. The wheels on the truck have been restored to their original quality. They come with a set of new Bowtie hubcaps. The tires are zero mile, but they do show some age.The truck does not come with a seat frame. There is no front bumper included either. The truck has a clear and current Kansas title in my name. The truck is titled off of the body serial number (NOT THE ENGINE NUMBER). This is especially relevant to those who might want to swap out the engine and drivetrain to something more modern. This truck would be a greatcandidate for a modern drivetrain or leave the straight six in it to have something different at the cruise night.
