Offered here is one of the nicest of the mid 1980’s Caprice Classics we have ever seen! It is a two-owner car with comparably low mileage (126,000 at the time the pictures were taken) that is in extremely good condition inside and out. It features a super smooth and powerful 305 C.I.D.4 bbl. V-8 small-block engine with a four-speed overdrive transmission. The exterior of the car is straight and shiny and incredibly good looking. The hood and the roof and the side pillars are all original paint. We repainted the sides and the trunk lid because it had moldings on both sides that were discolored and unsightly. When we removed them, the paint came with it. There were no dents and no rust. In addition to a really nice body and trim work, the interior of the car is spectacular with blue velour seats and vinyl trim. The only problem when we got it was some cracks in the dash. A new dash cover was installed to take care of that.
This car is loaded and luxurious! This was the top-of-the-line Caprice and about the most expensive model you could buy when it was new. The quality and durability of the car is evident today. It handles, rides, and drives more like a new car than one that is over 30 years old. This car is equally comfortable around town and on the highway. Modern cars place a lot of emphasis on handling and not so much on ride comfort. These Caprices were used as police cars and they handled amazingly. They also ride smooth and quietly. If you’re around the Bethesda, MD, area, I invite you to look at the car and see for yourself.
It’s rare now to get one of these in anything but beaten-up condition. This one has always been pampered and garage kept (and still is). I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with its appearance or performance. If should be noted that we spent over $5,000 on mechanical improvements (new transmission included) and an additional $2,000 on paint and body. The total investment to date (with the purchase of the car included) is well over $10,000.00. From any angle, it appears to be almost a full restoration.

Condition-
BODY- Very straight and dent-free as you see in the pictures. No rust on the body or underneath the car. We did leave off some of the exterior accents and symbols on the rear posts and around the trunk lock.
TRIM- All-chrome trim and rocker moldings in good-to-excellent condition, excellent front grill, headlight trim, door handles and window trim. Front bumper is excellent; there is misalignment to the rear bumper where the former owner backed into another car. Not really that noticeable, but it’s there.
INTERIOR-
It is in overall excellent condition- No tears in the headliner or door panels, front and rear seats are excellent with no discoloration, rips or tears. Dash instrument panel is excellent with nice vinyl wood trim and clear gauges. The seats are firm and not broken down front and back. All the switches and control knobs are in good shape. The car could use a driver’s-side door gasket and various window guide gaskets. NOTE- One of our pictures shows what looks like a light mark or stain on the driver’s seat. It is not. It’s the sun's reflection from the door mirror.
TRUNK AREA-
The inside of the trunk is clean and usable. It is fully carpeted with a full-size spare tire and a tire cover. All the jack accessories are in place. The size of the trunk is simply amazing!
If you need a car for going to work or daily transportation, this unusually nice Caprice Classic will do the job. Or you can go to car shows and have fun on the weekends. The owner gets stopped and complimented on this car on a daily basis. People who see this beautiful car always seem very impressed. The ride and the handling are outstanding, and we are confident that you will not be disappointed in the way it looks and drives. The car is kept under a cover and in a heated garage in Rockville,MD. Come look at it and drive it if you’re close enough. It’s worth the trip!
