Item DetailsHello folks, thank you for checking out my listing for this ONE ORIGINAL OWNER 1988 Chevrolet K1500. My name is Spencer and while I am new to selling cars on ebay, I have been selling cars for almost 10 years. I pride myself in being different from most dealers, as I strongly believe in being as honest as possible, and I am very passionate about what i sell and the car business in general. Please take note that I AM NOT a mechanic, but I will always represent a vehicle I'm selling to the best of my ability and knowledge. For sale in this NO RESERVE auction is a 1 OWNER 1988 Chevrolet K1500 Scottsdale.Based on my opinion, I would rate the exterior as being in GOOD CONDITION, and what I'd consider to be ABOVE AVERAGE condition for this vehicle's age and mileage. As with any used older vehicle, you must expect there to be some flaws and imperfections here and there, i try to take photos of any flaws I see and post them here. On this specific truck, there is evidence of previous rust repair on the cab corners as well as on the bed. There is also some rust at the driver side rear wheel well. Upon inspection of the undercarriage/frame, I was blown away at how clean it is for a 30 year old truck, all the cab mounts are very solid and the frame/undercarriage is cleaner than trucks I've seen that are 10 years old. I posted pictures of the undercarriage so please check them out. The body lines are nice and straight, and I did not notice any evidence of the truck being repainted. The paint is in impressive condition for being original to the truck. There are obvious scratches, but nothing you can see too well from a distance. All the doors as well as the hood and tailgate open and close just the way they should. The passenger side door only opens from the inside, the outside handle needs repaired or replaced. The factory steel wheels rims are in good condition. The Mastercraft tires on this truck appear to be nearly new with tons of tread life left. I have pictures of all the details i listed here, so please check them out before bidding. As for the interior, I would rate it to be in GOOD CONDITION, and what I'd consider to be ABOVE AVERAGE condition for this vehicles age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The vinyl floor shows very little wear and looks great. The dash is clean and in very good shape there is surprisingly no cracks. The headliner's cloth is missing, a notorious flaw with GM vehicles of this era. The bench seat is very clean and is still supportive and comfortable, and is in very good condition besides the typical wear on the driver side corner which someone covered with duct tape. The manual windows roll up and down good, and the climate control system is working properly. The heater blows hot, but please take note that this truck does NOT have A/C. The audio system works well and sounds good.Mechanically, this K1500 seems to be in good running & driving condition. It is equipped with Chevrolet's 5.7 "350" V8 which is known to be a very reliable workhorse, which on this specific truck runs very good and is very smooth, and makes alot of power. I did not notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke, tap, knock, or make any odd noises. All of the suspension components seems to be tight and in good condition, the truck rides very good and drives way better than what you'd expect from a vehicle of this age. Steering and braking feels excellent. The brake light stays on in this truck, I'm not sure why because the brakes feel excellent and the fluid is full. The manual 5 speed transmission engages and shifts excellent, the clutch does not slip or chatter. Out on the interstate, the truck drives very well i have no complaints, it does not rattle and shake like most old trucks. There are one thing I did notice with this truck - it appears that the fuel gauge does not work, I dont know if the gauge itself is broken, or if a fuse is blown, or if it may be the sending unit, so keep this in mind that at some point this will need repaired. This vehicle is fully driveable and i would trust driving it on a long trip. This truck has a brand new May 2019 Pennsylvania inspection sticker. Thank you for looking at my listing and good luck!
