1953 Chevrolet Suburban Additional Info:
Selling our 1953 suburban, only to buy a car I have been chasing for a few years. These things are getting harder and harder to find especially in this kind of condition. This burb is awesome and a fantastic driver. Professionally built with top of the line parts. As you can see, the body is bare metal with no clear coat. If new owner chooses to paint very little work will be needed. Body is 99% with a very little rust about 5" long at the bottom of the rear quarter. You cannot even see it unless you are laying on the ground. All glass is good and works properly. As you can see this thing is laid on the ground when aired out. Rims and tires are brand new. Only miles on them is from the 2018 LSRU. We drove all over the place with no issues.
The front suspension is an after market Mustang II with tubular A arms with new flaming river rack. Rear suspension is a No limit parallel 4 link and panhard bar. Slam specialty air bags. Ride Tech double adjustable shocks on all four corners. Accuair eLevel air management with an Accuair tank and 2 Viair compressors. There are ride height sensors at all foru corners and are monitored via computer that automatically raises and lowers. Best system money can buy.
Engine is a brand new 1964 283 Chevy, completely gone through with mild cam. Needs nothing. dual exhaust, new MSD distributor, alternator, starter, top to bottom it is new. Transmission is fresh rebuilt from Hardshift transmissions in Johnstown Ohio. Also has brand new Lokar shifter and linkage.
Seat are upholstered with relicate black leather and relicate german square weaved carpet. The rear floor has been raised to conceal all of the air ride and battery.
Car has disc brakes in all four corners, that is also new.
All gauges are brand new and work, turn signals, brakes, fog lights, head lights everything works. New Optima battery, new window channels, new cooling components two seed fan, new walker radiator, all new front core sheet metal. To much to list, must see to appreciate.
Life for this Burb began as an ambulance for the US Army during the Korean war..
Fly in and drive home, you can take this car anywhere.
